I’m surprised this man can stay in business. Before even meeting, to simply make an appointment, you are greeted with «Who is this?» — no introduction, no secretary. When you say you want to make an appointment (assuming you called the right number), you are told to call back the next day in a 30 minute window because he’s busy now. After calling back and finally scheduling and attending an appointment, to make a follow-​up appointment you go through an even tougher obstacle course (after he claims he will call you back to make one but never does). Eventually, you might just give up for a dentist a few more blocks away. This man must be surviving off of patients who have gone there for 30 years, because he is certainly not interested in finding new ones!

Awesome neighborhood dentist. Friendly, careful, considerate. Much more personable than flashier practices — this is an one dentist only operation. I don’t have any major dental issues and went for a preventive visit and cleaning. To my surprise advised me that a small de tube erosion that he found can be followed up and treated if deteriorated in the future. Bet almost any other dentist would have jumped at the opportunity of billing for a quick filling!

Fantastic. After a really horrible experience at a nearby group practice, Dr Pirvan was the dentist that restored my faith in the profession. He is down to earth and Professional. I recommend him to everyone.

First of all I hate going to the dentist. Everything about it sucks.
That said, Dr. Pirvan is a great dentist. He made me laugh, so I wouldn’t be as nervous and made sure I was mentally prepared for what was about to happen. I came to him after I had gone to a fancy dentist’s office. I had to fork out a lot of out of pocket money, which nearly put me in tears. (I’m in the midst of a root canal, which is a lot of money).
Dr. Pirvan sat down with me, called my insurance company, had them fax over my insurance information. We planned out the root canal, so that I would be able to cover it and have the least possible out of pocket expenses. That extra work made me feel like he really cared for his patients, even if they weren’t going to bring in lots of money from expensive cosmetic work in the long term.

For everyone who is scared of the dentist — which means basically all people I know -, this is a very nice, friendly doctor. He is not pressuring you into anything, but tells you what needs to be done and lets you choose what you want. He has a good touch and makes you feel comfortable.
If you want a state of the art office with three nurses, then this is not the place for you. Dr. Pirvan is operating by himself, and the office is a typical New York one, not a Park Avenue Luxury abode.
I got a cleaning and a filling and I was very happy with how he treated me. I can recommend him.
