Michael Heublum, MD

I went to see Dr Heublum today. He was very caring, and made me feel at ease immediately. which I feel is important. We are all nervous when we go to see a dr for the first time.
He has a great bedside manner and he took his time examining me. I feel he did all the right tests and asked the right questions. I would recommend Dr Heublum highly. An excellent doctor… He is the way a Dr Should be… I also want to say that the 2 ladies who work in his office were so nice. I am very pleased.

I went to Dr Heublum after wasting a bunch of money at a chiropractor’s office trying to resolve the tingling and numbness in my fingers. I was a bit turned off when I first walked in because I was about 10 mins late (there were bus issues and I called) and the doctor, who was standing behind the receptionist, made a condescending comment about it.
Either way, I was then taken in and he warmed up to me pretty quickly. He ran tests and determined that I had a pinched nerve that was causing the issue.
The only thing I would have liked in addition to the careful testing to figure out the problem is if I was told how to resolve it or how long it would take for it to go away. Instead, after the tests, he just said «ok, we’re done, this is what it is and it’s not a huge issue, so you can go now». I had to inquire myself on what to do next and didn’t really get a clear answer.
I’ll probably wait a little longer for the issue to go away and will call them back if it doesn’t.

I really like Dr. Heublum. I have been seeing him for some time and think he has a great bedside manner and takes time with his patients. He goes above and beyond to find what is wrong with a patient and does proper follow-​up. I really trust him, which to me, is one of the #1 qualities in a doctor, especially a neurologist. His staff is also very helpful and friendly, which makes an office visit or prescription refill less of a hassle. I would highly recommend Dr. Heublum to anyone seeking a neurologist in the NYC area.
