I walked in to ask about a certain wine that, as I found online, was the only place in Manhattan that carried it. The personnel were so rude, short one word answers. Mostly«no.» Who needs that kind of customer service?

Best prices around Murray Hill for liquor and they carry a ton of random stuff. And they have great sales + a friendly and non-creepy staff who’re super helpful and don’t judge too much when you ask for Everclear — what more do you want from a liquor store?

The staff are very friendly. I also found one guy who claim to be «the only one work here and no’t drink”/ Any how, I found 2005 Vin Santo and a bottle of good Port Bello,-both are under $ 20.

Great neighborhood liquor/wine shop. After a trip to the Hudson Valley wineries this fall, I was very happy to learn that Buy-Rite carries many of their wines. Just went in today to get Whitecliff Traminette, Whitecliff Red Trail, and Brotherhood Pinot Noir. Great prices for great wines, will be coming here more frequently!

It may not seem like much on the outside, but this is my go-to liquor store for those nights I feel extra mischievous :) Pretty decent selection and great employees who are friendly and helpful. PS– Check out the sale wines, they’re really cheap and they usually have a great selection of them.

They have the best prices I’ve seen in the city. They are also the only place that carries my favorite value wine: Pepperwood Pinot Noir. I’ve come here for years and the staff was always extremely helpful finding me exactly what I need at the best value. I only shop here if I can help it.

Not sure this warrants a whole review, but this place is one of the few in the city that stocks local wines from the Long Island vineyards! After visiting Raphael Vineyards for a wedding over the summer and falling in love with a couple of their wines, I was hard pressed to find a place to stock up in the city. Luckily this place carries quite a few(Raphael, Pindar, Duck Walk, etc.). Otherwise I can’t really comment.

Fantastic customer service: walk in and ask a guy stocking for a spicy wine which is good but not pricey. Guy asks to wait a sec, and comes back shortly with a Malbec which is $ 10 elsewhere(or online), but they have it for $ 4. Oh, and its good too. One of the best neighborhood wine shops in the city.

Love this place. This is the place where I get all my drinks. Very convenient and people working their are super friendly. They have variety of drinks. Oh and they are open until 9:45PM on Monday not 9:30PM. I just came back from getting my bottles of wine.=)

McAdam Buy-Rite is not a luxurious wine shop(which is evident by the name) but is nicely laid-out inside and offers a good selection of wine and liquor at reasonable prices. It’s not my go-to wine shop, per se, but I would stop by again after a positive experience a couple wks ago.

This isn’t exactly the quaint wine shop I like to frequent so there is no real expertise when it comes to wine selection and no extensive specialty brands. However, the layout is great(divided by region) and they have a pretty good bunch of wines. The guys here are not wine experts but they still know their stuff and will help you to the best of their knowledge. Prices are right and efficiency is A+. And of course… when it comes to the other types of booze… they have aplenty!

Great selection, a variety of prices — especially for it’s size — and a friendly staff. Feels more authentic and friendly than many other liquor stores in NYC. There’s something for everyone here.

Good selection, well laid out, looks seedy from the outside but pretty neat and un-shady from the inside. Plus, the cashier didn’t even bat an eye when I showed up in pajama pants and an overcoat with a 20 o’clock shadow on a friday night to buy a bottle of bourbon and a bottle of vodka. Didn’t even card me…

This is a great place to buy booze! Staff is very friendly, they have a great selection and the prices are very fair. Get your booze, buy some lotto too. It’s all good.

I visit this place far too frequently. They have very good special sales, there’re always promoting some sory of wine or champagne(free samples!), the staff is very friendly and generous, they’re very dog friendly(they even give your dog treats), the prices are very good, there’s always a bargain-bin filled with a few different wine selections for $ 3.99 each, t’s very low-key, the selection is pretty big — there’s something for everybody.
