This place has changed a bit since the last time I came here. The pizza wasn’t as good and really greasy. The cheesecake didn’t look as desirable so I didn’t even get any. The staff was not very friendly either.

Great pizza. The buffalo chicken pizza was great! I have tried other pizza places that were more expensive and less tasty. If you are looking for a great slice away from all the tourists give this place a try.

«That pizza was so good.» My girlfriend just commented as I started this review. I grew up in queens and moved to Vegas 9 years ago so I knew what good pizza was. Her on the other hand she has only really known the good pizza of Vegas. But I always told her the stories of how amazing pizza is in NY. I am so glad that masterpiece lived up to the tales. The pizza was incredible but the service was a distant second. The initial service was fine but on the way out the woman just seemed like she couldn’t be bothered by us. That was the only thing stopping us from giving a 5 star review.

Touring NYC and we were looking for good NY style pizza nearby. This place is paper plates and plastic forks kinda place, and that was fine with us. We were after good pizza! Also they don’t have fountain drinks, but they do have ice and a huge selection of cans and bottles of all sorts of sodas and drinks. Their pizza was really really good pizza (pepperoni wasn’t greasy). And the staff was really friendly too. We will be back on our next trip! Thanks guys!

I have friends who like the pizza here, but I find it too greasy and lacking variety. I went once and have not been again.
Very dissapointing that we could not communicate with the staff because they were not fully fluent in english.

This review is really a 3.5. To be honest I really only go here because of its proximity to my apartment. I am just to lazy most of the time to go somewhere else.
The pizza is decent but not great. I like the chicken parm slice but they barely ever have it. Also the slices are kind of expensive for the lack of quality.

My pizza was the complete opposite of a masterpiece. It looked as if the delivery man dropped the pizza from a rooftop then flipped it on its back and then presented it at my door (via seamless). It was basically inedible and what I did eat was horrible, tasteless and a huge mess.

Excellent pizza — went with a group and had hawaiian, margherita and white with spinach pizzas, and all were very tasty. Dough was delicious, not like the cardboard some places serve, and kids and adults all enjoyed. Only downside was the construction going on all around so lots of bumps and noises outside. I didn’t pay so not sure how the prices were.

Many different pies available, all unique and tasty. My favorite is the Chicken Parmigiana slice.

The people are generally friendly and they are often not very busy so there is space to sit inside. However, I tend to avoid this place. Within two blocks is a much better and less expensive pizza place. I find this place to be quite expensive and the pizza is mediocre.

Masterpiece is my favorite place to grab a slice downtown.
Fast, good pizza, soft crust.
I like all their specialty pies, but they make an exceptional buffalo chicken pizza.

One of the places to grab a decent slice downtown, which was a great relief from all the other poor excuses for pizzerias around the area. Masterpiece does the bread part right. The underside has that slight crunch without being burnt, while the middle portion is soft and not too thick, and the top layer moist with the flavor of tomato sauce.
The toppings, typical of most pizza-​by-​the-​slice places, are not particularly fresh because, well… the pre-​made pies have generally been sitting on display for a while. This is not a knock, if you want fresher, order a pie.
I’m totally happy ordering the plain slice here every time, just because I appreciate their craft. However, they do have a solid buffalo chicken slice with a drizzle of blue cheese.
All in all, this is my top pick in the area for a slice for lunch.

Just a simple slice, served hot. Crisp, thin crust, adequate sauce and cheese. (Husband also had bacon, Canadian bacon, and pepperoni on his slice, which he enjoyed.) Condiments on the table. Service is quick. Staff is friendly. Tables are kind of jumbled everywhere. Drinks and dessert in refrigerator case.

I stopped in for a slice here and enjoyed it, but a few observations of the joint while I was ordering and waiting for my slice to come out of the oven left a bad overall impression.
To the point: a nice couple, almost definitely from out of town, was asking if they could use the rest room and being subjected to the are-​you-​going-​to-​buy-​something hustle.
Now, I’m all for businesses reserving the right to refuse service, but to make them pony up a couple of bucks to use the bathroom? Come on.
The pizza was fine. Very standard, slightly above average slice. The main plus was that the pizziolo left my slice in the oven long enough for the cheese to heat thoroughly and the bottom of the crust to crisp. My purchase also gave me access to their rest rooms, though I didn’t take advantage of this privilege.

We stopped by Masterpiece after visiting the 9⁄11 memorial. The slices were huge and I loved the wide variety of toppings they offered. We thought it was very reasonably priced, too, for a quick, tasty lunch.
