The reason I didn’t write a review before is because I wanted to keep the salon as my secret. Yup — she is that good. However, since I moved away and work late, I cannot see her anymore :(
Mariana always gave me a great cut; every person other than her cuts my bangs too short. She also did a fantastic job with blow drying. I felt so relaxed during and after the procedure. The prices are unbelievable. She charged me $ 25 for a shampoo/​Condition, haircut and blow dry; I have super long hair. Because I was a regular customer, she would sometimes cut my bangs for free!
When I visited her, it felt like I was visiting a friend. Alas, I cannot see her anymore. However, I hope this review will help her get even more business. I definitely recommend getting an appointment because she is very popular.

I’ve been getting my haircut here for over 3 years now… so I guess I should write a nice review, no?
Admittedly, it really does help that I am fluent in Spanish. The staff is primarily latina (Ecuadorian and Columbian, if memory serves). They are super attentive and are very meticulous as they cut your hair, do the mani/​pedi, or wax your eyebrows (yea, I said it).
The atmosphere always makes me smile because the neighborhood ladies are usually hanging out and cracking wise with the staff. Since I’m usually the only guy there, I’m privy to some seriously silly and naughty conversations.
Enjoy the service, tip them well, and refer to them as «senoritas»… they love that!

omg this is the best salon in astoria ihave been to gorgio and studio 34 but this place definately beats them i love it with mariana my hair has definately grown long and healthy it has been really well treated i also did a brazilian straightin and iwas so happy the price is definately great not expensive at all i love it!!!
