Superbe chambre.

Because we got such a low rate at the Manhattan Centre Hotel, I assumed there would be a catch. But instead of the tiny, dingy room I expected, ours was spacious by city standards, very clean, and boasted a huge, modern bathroom. The hotel’s location is great if you’re interested in exploring Manhattan– we were able to get to most neighborhoods easily by subway or walking.

Hotel staff: Great and helpful. Location: Across the street from subway terminal and a short(about 3min walk) to bus stop. Room: I had standard room located on 25th floor, and it was perfect size for one or two guests. They use card key(s). It has microwave, mini fridge, iron, iron board, alarm radio, LCD flat screen tv with several channels, a standing shower(floor has tiles but chalk were peeling off). Walls are a little thin though. I heard my next door guest on the phone ordering pizza. Not a good idea to do since I could hear everything. Amenities: You can grab empty unlabled water bottles and fill up on certain floors. Misc: Elevators were a little pain to operate with card key. A lot of business travellers. Mostly European visitors. Tip: If you plan to use airport shuttle, look for this hotel under Club Quarters Hotel. I didn’t realize this until I got to the hotel.

I was debating between giving this a 3 star or 4 star. While the hotel itself is nice, free from bed bugs, with a friendly staff, the tourists at my stay were obnoxious. There was a group staying here making a bunch of noise close to my room. So much noise that you could hear it through the walls. I had to get up everyday by 6, and this was going on until 3 am. I complaigned to the hotel staff and they rectified the situation. for all of 15 minutes. Besides the annoying guest, this hotel is a good place. It is within close proximity to everything you need. The rooms may be small, but that is fine because the bed is very comfortable. Good place for business or leisure.

We were visiting from San Francisco and stayed here for three nights. The location is excellent: close to the Rock and Times Square but fairly quiet for NYC(on weekends the bar next door can get a little loud late at night). Several banks and Duane Reade pharmacy are a few steps away. The complimentary bottled water is available on EVERYOTHER floor, next to the elevator. Don’t spend a fortune on bottled water at Duane Reade. My only complaint? They only gave us 1 handtowel for 2 guests and each time I asked for extras, they either didn’t have any or it would take very long to get them. I priced it as moderate, which I think it is for the location, but if you’re coming from Podunk, USA, you might feel that it’s pricey.

this chic little hotel is located in the center of mid-town and what a great location it is! it’s right across the street from rockefeller plaza and just minutes away from times square, empire state, 5th avenue & much more. the hotel is very well kept– clean and modern. rooms are a bit small, but i didn’t mind that in the least. staff was friendly and resourceful. we asked them which subways to get to go to our destinations and they were helpful & accurate. next time i’m in NYC i will certainly stay here again.

During my recent trip to New York, I had the privelage of staying at the Rockefeller Hotel. This was by far one of the better(non luxury) hotel experiences I’ve had. The rooms, albeit small(its New York), were the most contemporary hotel rooms I’ve seen, complete ith granite bathroom fixtures and an LCDTV on the wall. The views were great, the noise at a minimum despite being in the heart if Midtown. The hotel ammenities were innumerable, and the great location in Midtown made it easy to embark on one of many walks around Manhattan. If you’re coming to New York for a visit, you can’t beat the Rockefeller Center in price, location or quality.
