This place has a warm décor and the perfect food to go with it. The Foie Gras was delicious

Service was terrible. The manager did not know what he was doing and the place was a hot mess. Celebrated a birthday with a few girlfriends and everyone was so disappointed. Nahid Ahmed should take his name out of the picture on this one. He usually is spot on with other places.

Hard to understand what this place is. sort of just floats out there with no identity, Why do they have signs placed on chairs outside showing their dishes. or pieces of white paper tacked on the windows with their menu showing. Feels tacky and weird.

Had a great night and meal by Chef Nahid the tartar/salmon/veal cheek were phenomenal as always the service was on point and the vibe of the place was excellent, am looking forward to 44 acres since I hear this is only a short time spot, I would make the effort and enjoy a meal here

Horrible restaurant. Will never go back. Our drink orders took 30 minutes or more. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE! The service was extremely poor. And then, after my group of 15 guys at a bachelor party ran up a bill of over $ 3,000, the manager refused to allow us into the club that they operate unless we ordered bottle service! I will never go back to this hole in the wall dive!

Went here on a recommendation from a friend for Sunday Brunch. And i will tell you we had such a good experience that i cant wait to check them out for dinner. The food was amazing and delish, everything was fresh and served with amazing presentation. As your fork enters the runny eggs and the first bite enters your mouth you can taste the love that the chef places into each dish. We had the oysters(highly recommended) Caesar salad, steak and eggs, shakshuka(an amazing twist on the Israeli breakfast classic), and a smoked salmon sandwich(absolutely amazing). The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgable. The chef was so caring that he even tool the time to step out into the dinning area to chat with the guests and ask about our experience.

Dined here at the recommendation of Megan C — the first reviewer of the place! I have to agree with her that the food was fantastic but the service was still lacking. When I say that the service was«lacking», I do not mean that the waiters or anyone else on the staff was rude or unfriendly because it was quite the contrary. Everyone was extremely accomodating. The manager even comped our entire party of 5 a free glass of Brut for getting our reservation confused and asking us to sit at a table for 4. But everyone on the staff just seemed a bit flustered and confused. The waiters brought out appetizers for two of us and then took them away after realizing that they actually belonged to another party. The entire place seemed to be in a case of disarray. The food, however, was definitely above average. We shared the fried cheese platter and it was absolutely delicious. The oysters were amazing. The hamachi was good, but not great. Finally, the duck was outstanding. A nice portion and it was perfectly prepared. I’m not a huge fan of desserts but the coconut panna cotta was tasty. I would absolutely eat here again despite the service kinks — I’m sure they will work themselves out eventually.

A true popup restaurant. Malt n Mash is a new pop up helmed by Nahid Ahmed and is a true creativity bombshell. From a fried cheese plate to Philly Smoked Salmon, Foie Gras and a delectable panna cotta, this place is a breeding ground of good food and an eclectic menu that will make the soon to open 40 Acres a stellar addition to the NYC food scene. They are still working out the service kinks, but the food was fantastic and they are trying very hard to get up to speed. Overall, an outstanding new place with a bright, bright future.
