Lower East Side Car Service

I’ve been a user of this company for four years and have put up with a lot of questionable practices:
— even when requested, the drivers rarely show up with a credit card machine. It is also worth noting that they’ve also stopped taking American Express
— Issues like the credit card situation are hard to resolve, because then the phone line is understaffed and if you’re in a bind hold times eat into your transit time
— I have had two different instances where I’ve been charged more by the driver than the actual price, while they do up charge for credit card, these were both cash transactions
While I will no longer use this car service and with all the above said, at least the drivers are prompt.

I am writing this because I don’t want the same demoralizing experience to happen to other people. I met a manipulative driver that both verbally and sexually assaulted me and although I don’t think the driver works here anymore I would like to warn others. I was traumatized with this experience for many years. This driver should just be taking customers to where they need to go and not hitting on young girls for one night stands. Ladies warn your underage daughters who have to take a cab alone and always use your judgement. Obviously not all drivers do this and most are working to make a living but after this experience I have never and will not ever use this car service again.

The cars are often late to pick up at the airport. I understand there is traffic but as a driver I would expect them to time it better. I need a regular driver for my weekly travels and I am definitely looking for better options.

I appreciated our car being early, very clean, and driver friendly. Although It was a little difficult to understand the person I initially set my reservation with, I was happy with their services and would use them again the next time im in the city.

The only really positive thing I can say about LES Car Services is that their prices can not be beat. They are in way too much of a hurry to get you off the phone and their grasp of English is not up to par, which caused an inconvenience they very nastily blamed me for. I will use them again but I will be SLOW and SPECIFIC and get a price quote in advanced. Be sure to clarify in advance if you are putting this on a credit card. It makes the drivers quite grumpy.

SHADY!!! I called three times and was given three different prices to the same place. Took them one time and was quoted a price and the driver when he dropped me off, quoted a much higher price (which is why this time I called ahead to clarify). Oh and when I pointed it out the dispatcher hung up on me. Yep, use this place if you want to be swindled.
