Ordered pizza almost 2 hours ago and still waiting. Was told it would take an hour. When I called after 75 minutes, I was told another 20 min. Still no pizza…

When I moved to NYC4 years ago, I ate at and ordered from different pizza places looking for«Good NY pizza.» Lucky me, the pizza that became my NYC pizza gold standard was right on my block! The crust is thin and crisp on the traditional pies. The Sicilian is not as thick as other places, which is fine by me. If local, it is better to pick up, as delivery(even two doors down) has been quite lengthy at times. Bonus — if you go to the shop itself, you are sure to be greeted by soccer on the TV. My only complaint is that it is only open 12−10pm. Wish the hours were longer.

I have been to this place once with my family and it is our favorite local pizza place. The ingredients are fresh and always taste great ! I would say that their thin crust pizza is a bit crunchy more than usual.

A pretty good slice. Although their Sicilian was a little thin and not crispy at all. They have no grandma slices and no fountain drinks.

I had their 2 slice special. It was OK, nothing fancy, just decent pizza.

Luzzo’s is this hole in the wall, studio-sized joint a few feet away from the 96th Street subway station. If there’s one thing you need to order here, it’s the potato and gorgonzola square pizza: my boyfriend and I inhaled a slice in a matter of bites. I came later in the day, and it seemed like they had already sold out a bunch of their pies. All that were left were some pepperoni, white, and the prosciutto/fig combo(which actually sounded heavenly). $ 5 credit card maximum. Currently running a deal where two slices of margerita pizza and a soda will run you $ 5. Perfect for a quick dinner or an impromptu snack after you get off the subway. NEXTTIME: Nutella calzone

I like their pizza but I would love it if their thin crust was not as crunchy. If it was a little more spongy it would make a 5 star for me. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza always looks fresh. I also wish they had more Italian drinks, Coca Cola and finer ale are just not the best options. Italian drinks would make it so much more memorable.

pizza was ok. thankfully i ordered extra cheese because it would have been definitely lacking had i not. I’m not too happy i spent 25 bucks on a lrg pepperoni with extra cheese though. oh and the pizza is not good if you’re looking for something you can morning munch without heating up, i don’t recommend

We are visiting from Dallas and thought we needed to experience Italian the New York way. We stopped in here and were not disappointed. Margherita, mushroom and cheese and pepperoni pizza, along with the lasagna and gnocchi. It was all amazing! I wish we had something like this back home. We highly recommend this place.

I came from italy 2 months ago, and I found out something place that made the real napoletana pizza! Little luzzo’s is the right place! Awesome pizza, super taste, staff very kindly. Ciro(the owner) is from Naples and he respects the process to made the real napoletana pizza!

There pizza is so good it’s not even funny. Perfectly thin and crunchy crust. Have not had a bad experience the multiple times I’ve been in. Not to mention they always have funny TV shows playing and everyone’s always laughing and having a good time. Very cool place to grab a quick slice.

If you want your delicate sensibilities taken care of, maybe you can walk down to Famiglia where I suppose they’re probably happy to wipe your a** with slices of pizza that are, as far as I can tell, solely intended for that purpose. If you want a solid slice of pizza, sans therapy session, and definitely the best within the a 10 blocks or so radius around Mount Sinai(probably the next closest good slice is at La Corsa at 110th), then Little Luzzo and his short Latino men have what you’re looking for. Four stars for the slice, and a fifth for the haters.

This place smells divine when you walk past and that is the beginning and the end of the love affair. I got a slice of pizza for my daughter and her roommate. We could eat it. That’s all I can say. The weather was inclement and I did not feel like walking down to Famiglia’s. Let’s just say next time I’ll try to brave the cold and wet and walk down to Famiglia’s. I would never like to repeat this excuse for $ 3.25/slice pizza again. The staff here is not«inviting» like they are at Famiglia’s.

The bottom line with this place: they serve good, no-frills slices of pizza that are great to grab on the go. The place itself is a little bit small, but their pizza tasted great, was ready for me in a pinch, and was reasonably priced. There’s no more to it than that.

We ordered from here this last Saturday night and were really disappointed. For the price you pay for these pizzas the delivery service should we good, but it was terrible. We ordered on the later side, and our delivery man refused to come up to the apartment, he made us come downstairs, and was rude about it. I am sorry that it was late, but if you don’t want to deliver past a certain time, then find a restaurant that closes earlier. Then upon opening our pizza the whole pie had been tossed around. Cheese was falling off half, the crust was dented and in general it was a mess… The pizza was not bad, but if I pay that much for a pizza, I feel it should resemble a pizza, this one did not. We will never order from here again.

I work nearby and sometimes it’s just the only choice. The pizza is not good. Mostly served warm/cold, so definitely specify you’d like a hot pizza. Also(and why I only gave 1 star) they have the bad habit of handling the food with their bare hands. They’ll just have touched money, or been cleaning and then grab your pizza with the same filthy hands. It’s terrible and disgusting. Some folks notice and speak up but when they do the workers just tell you if you don’t like it to leave. Also, the owner is not very nice and his workers follow suit because they know he doesn’t care. In summary, if you don’t like your food touched with filthy bare hands, don’t go there.

It has been 2 years since I last ate here and remembered it being good. Plus I’m a huge fan of the original Luzzo’s. I was disappointed in the quality of the pizza today. The worst part was that I had given my word that it would be good and it just wasn’t. To those that I’ve wronged, I’m sorry.
