Lisa’s On 2Nd Avenue

Great store. I wanted a particular card. Lisa found it for me and held it at the register for pick-​up. Thanks Lisa!

Lisa’s has been a staple in this neighborhood for years. When I saw they were closing the Third Avenue location it was upsetting. It’s my go to place for gifts and cards when the receiver is special to me! Lucky for me they moved to Second Avenue. It has taken some getting used to at the new location. The variety of merchandise is not as extensive as the old location. I do know if you want something for St. Patrick’s Day (or another holiday) and you see it, you better get it right then! I went back for something and it was gone! If you snooze you lose! I highly recommend this Hallmark Store. The employees are nice and it’s always clean. You never know what cute item you will find. They have something for every occasion.

This store is so cute! And even though it’s mainly a Hallmark seller, it’s nice that they’re not a huge chain store and they sell other trinkets there as well. The one downside to this store was that I had to search very hard for what I was looking for: single Thank You cards. I understand that most times, you want a stock ty note and coming in 10 packs is easier, but sometimes, there’s someone who went above and beyond and they deserve a fancier card than the others!
But other than that, the store is neat and well organized. They seem to turn stock over according to the seasons. Will definitely come back here if I need another card or gift.

Lisa’s has everything I need when I’m looking for a gift. I love their stuff for kids and the jewelry! Lisa was there when I went in — she’s so nice and helpful. I will definitely be going back to her store!

Just what the doctor ordered.
Wanted to find a sweet blank card for my guy. After discovering Lisa’s had moved to 2^nd, found a brighter, a spacious store.
Was immediately grabbed by the empathic mugs to the right. Got the last «Do what makes you happy» mug, and enjoyed chatting with Lisa while her assistant wrapped it.
Made my guy’s day, and mine too!

New location as they moved from 3^rd Ave to 2^nd and 91^st because of a greedy landlord from what I heard. Same old story lately… but it works out for us as they are even closer to where we live now.
Love having a local neighborhood Hallmark store right across the street from my apartment. Easy to drop by on the way home to pick up a card, gift, wrapping, etc. Even better for when I’m in the doghouse and need to run over and grab a sorry card and some balloons to try and get out of it.
This location is a bit more fancy and carries some nice gifts, trinkets, statues, knick knacks too. They take balloon orders here too if you have a party and need them and decorations to go. Also, they are stuck behind the 2^nd Ave subway construction mess and can use some local biz support.
Decent enough selection of cards from serious to humorous to ball busting. Of course I get the evil dumb one to bust my father’s chops. Hey, on his birthday I once got him a card here that had the Grim Reaper holding a birthday cake. On the inside it said «You can run, but you can’t hide». I don’t think he was amused. Aren’t I a good son?
For some reason now my dad won’t talk to me.

Lisa’s is in a beautiful new location on 2^nd Avenue. I have bought jewelry from Lisa’s for years for family, friends, and co-​workers and everyone always loves her pieces. There is always a card and wrapping for every occasion plus kids toys and more. You can buy a gift, the wrapping, the card and gift bag all in one location. One stop shopping!

The new location on 91^st and 2^nd is new and improved! So much cute kids stuff, home décor, gifts etc as well as a huge selection of cards and wrapping stuff. Lisa’s is a neighborhood treasure.
