The staff here are pretty nice. I come in here every now and then to check what’s new. Although I’d love to buy a sofa here I’m still not willing to shell out enough for a used car. I have purchased a really nice dining room set. It sits beautifully in my open living/dining area. The table is solid wood, extremely heavy; for the price/quality, its a better deal than anything you will find at crate & barrel, pottery barn, Macy’s etc. It will never fit into any Manhattan apartment unless it’s a multimillion one, sadly I can’t afford an apartment that expensive in the city… The chair covers are replaceable and if I ever need additional chairs, it’s always available in their catalogue. I’ve had the set for almost a decade, mostly in storage until I had a place big enough for it. It did take 8 – 10 weeks to arrive.

One of those stores you glance towards and find yourself unable to pull away and do anything but go in and explore. I came in right after running 5 miles in the heat, looking kind of ragged, and definitely not dressed as I would normally, and despite my haggard appearance the staff was kind to me and attentive. It is unlike any furniture store I’ve been in. I will admit to not being able to afford everything at this moment as I’m brand new to NY, but I will save and be back in a few months to get something for my Manhattan apartment.

Gorgeous French furniture store. I have loved this shop for years and only now can afford to buy things. It is expensive, but the designs are so unique and well made. Beware that almost everything is custom made in France and will take 8 – 10 weeks or more to arrive to your door. The Red Ploum Sofa is stunning and on my most loved list. Staff is super nice and not SoHo snooty, talk to Marcos or Laura for a friendly experience.

These guys sell tastefully made French furniture at price points that are a good 30−40% lower than B&B Italia or Poltrona Frau, with a far lesser percentage drop in quality, in my view. Having gotten a bed, a few bar stools and a coffee table from here, I continually check back to see if they are coming up with new stuff. The Park Avenue store is a wee bit more formal, and I have always bought from the SoHo location. Get to know one of their salespeople so they can let you know of warehouse and store sales events that occur once every few months.
