I went here to check it out because I love the history of Leo Castelli. I read that he showed Richard Artschwager for 15 years even though he didn’t sell a singe piece of his art! And he showed early Warhols! And he was known for talking about art in the gallery with college students just as much as with mega-rich collectors. So I was super disappointed when I went. It’s extremely stuffy and it shows what feels like a really commercial selection of art from the 1960’s. Castelli was radical! But whoever is carrying on his gallery is not. :(
