The waterfall is one of my favorite things in Midtown. Relaxing and convenient, I often use this park to avoid tourists to get to other places in Midtown.

Little piece of paradise in the middle of NYC. You almost forget you are near times square

Called the Lehman Brothers Park because Lehman Brothers used to be located in what is now the Barclays building. Very busy during lunch and a bit plain looking with all of its concrete. The tube through the fountain is interesting to walk through(once). After that, it’s not worth the visit again. Lots of food trucks near here on weekday lunch time, so it’s convenient to eat here.

I hate that it is called the Lehman Brothers Park. But the waterfall and tunnel are absolutely stunning. Furthermore, on a summer day or an overly sunny one — this park always has shade because of the way it is situated between the two buildings. I stop by here whenever I can!

This random little park area is super busy during lunch time because everyone is set free from their cubicles in an orgy of trying to get fed. There are a few little fountains throughout the park, but the money shot here is the tube that allows you to walk through a wall of water. It’s pretty rad. The chemicals for water treatment though make the place smell like all the weird indoor water stuff in Vegas. Not that that’s a bad thing, it just reminds me of too much blow, too much booze, and that whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, unless you bring home the Clap.

I eat lunch here all the time when it is warm with my coworkers. Why? Because we work across the street and it’s convenient. Also, it’s kinda fun to play stalk-a-table during lunch rush. No, actually, it really sucks, and lunch rush lasts 2 hours, so really, it’s just convenient.
