Nice bikes but horrible service! We went with a group of 3 and were not informed that we should return the bikes 30 minutes before closing. We got there 5 minutes before closing and the manager was incredibly rude!!! The rest of the staff were friendly. Sad to see a good business ruined by one guy!

Excellent shop with great advice, friendly service, fair prices and very knowledgeable repairmen. Unfortunately has limited selection on hand but they’re happy to order anything for you. Excellent shop to meet the needs of novice, sometimes cyclists to expert cyclists.

Full-service bike shop with friendly staff. Best part about it is that they fixed my punctured inner tube for $ 12, which is less than the tube cost on Amazon. And opened up the shop a few minutes early just to do it when they saw I was waiting.

awesome place. went here friday because of a shaking hub. It needed repacking. It took them ten minutes, and only 12.00 where I live, I wouid have been charged 3 times that. This place rocks!

Best price in town and awesome service. I called a half dozen places before visiting and received multiple more bike rental advertisement flyers while walking around Lower Manhattan. Very glad we choose Larry’s. Their prices(we rented a tandem bike) were upwards $ 10 less an hour than most other places and they were kind enough to round down on our time and give some good ideas what to do on our trip. Highly recommended.

I found this shop through a referral from a friend and from the phone conversation prior to arrival to leaving the premise with a brand new bicycle, I was treated with the best customer service experience! I primarily spoke with Alex and I met Dan while waiting for Alex to get my new bicycle ready. Both were not only professional but VERY knowledgeable and helpful to a newbie like myself. I originally showed up to get my 10 year old mountain bike fixed and decided to donate the bike and upgrade to brand new hybrid! Alex allowed me to test ride several bicycles before deciding and at NO point was he pushy about selling me a new bicycle. He stressed the importance of being a happy rider and BOY was I when I left the store! I was so happy I rode my new bicycle all the way home to the Bronx!

Found these guys while looking around for a Linus Dutchie bike. There was another shop in the city, Toga, that also carried them, but ultimately I went with Larrys for a few reasons. First, the guys at Larrys were so nice and helpful. Even though I stopped by during a busy time for them, the customer service was great. They were very attentive and listened to what I was looking for. Toga tried getting me to chose another bike, completely different from what I wanted. Larrys didn’t have the 3-speed in the color I was looking for but they did have it in an 8-speed, which was a little over my price point. They gave me a PHENOMENAL deal without me even asking. They also told me to bring my old bike back and they would take off my accessories before I sell it. It’s rare to find such great service in this city, these guys are truly one of a kind!

great little bike shop, at northwest corner of central park. i rented a bike here over my lunch break, and was able to loop central park in my allotted time. staff was friendly, but it wasn’t clear who were staff or who were patrons. staff was pretty slow. recommended for local rentals.

Basic tune-up at the store where I bought my bike: $ 65. Basic tune-up at Larry’s: $ 30 I mean, that’s all you need, right? If you need any more info than that, here’s this: This place is run by the bicycle equivalent of the future old dudes in Cool Runnings. I brought my road bike in because it hadn’t been ridden in a couple years and I wanted to make sure everything was in working order. It wasn’t. But shortened breaks, inflated tires, re-gripped handle bars, some angling changes, 3 days and $ 30 later, my bat-mobile looked and felt awesome. I’d definitely recommend them for any maintenance needs!

Stopped by to get a flat fixed and chain oiled. Danny is the man. Great service with a smile. They even humored my bad jokes.

Selfish as I am I don’t usually find the time to write a review but Larry’s deserves more people dishing out the 5 stars. They’re very friendly & knowledgeable! I broke a rear axle and another place told me I had to replace the entire wheel. I was told to take it here and they knew how to fix it, ordered the part over ngiht and got the bike back to me in a few days. Clown that I am, the second time I broke it — I took it back and they fixed it within the hour. Super great environment.

Larry’s was a great choice for renting bikes to bike around Central Park! Each adult bike was $ 8/hour! They were also very gracious about the return time. Half of our party got lost and returned past the hour, but Larry’s didn’t charge us overtime. I would recommend them to anyone!

They’re friendly and not overpriced, but my bike always comes back from here with new paint scuffs and chips. Not thrilled about that second part.

Best tune up ever. Bike is like new. Larry also is super friendly and honest. When I asked him about upgrading to a new bike, he said«what wrong with your bike?»

Great shop, stellar employees, extremely friendly. Absolutely no complaints. I have been in and out of this shop for the past year for minor things, but only recently did I go in for a full cleaning and tune-up. They did a fantastic job with the cleaning! While the whole deal was a bit pricey(but did not deviate +/-from the rates at any other shop in manhattan) that was to be expected. Unfortunately, my cassette had worn down and my chain was stretched(2+ years of riding consistently will do that. no biggie). It is general knowledge that the two wear together. In an attempt to rectify the situation of a worn chain the mechanic changed it out. That still left me with a worn cassette and a bike that couldnt hold a gear on an uphill. Being a broke student and pessimistic New York resident, I assumed that if I was to opt for the shop to replace my dura-ace cassette there without any prior research I would end up losing quite a bit of money, which was a correct, and reasonable assumption. I ended up buying a significantly cheaper ultegra cassette online and brought it into the shop, prepared to dole out the cash for the installation. Not only did I not have to dole out any additional cash, I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. My baby switches gears like butter now – just in time for the improved weather conditions.

$ 35 – 40 for a new tube and continental touring tire for my fixie. Decent price? Not sure but I took it. Great tire, great tube, months later still holding the same air.
