This review is for breakfast, by which I mean ackee with saltfish. This came with a cooked banana, and a very chewy dumpling. A large portion is $ 12.00(ackee is expensive here in the U.S.) and a small is $ 9.00. You get two dumplings with the large. The ackee was delicious, easily as good as I have had in the islands, if not better. Service was friendly, as were our fellow diners. I’ll have to come back for oxtail.

whenever my job sends my to the Bronx I go out of my way to eat there, staff is friendly the food is Jamaican soul food at its best, Aci salt codd with dumplings for breakfast will hold you all day,

Recently featured on celeb. chef & author, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, tour of the BX; this institution has been around for years! Do yourself the favor: Curry, Greens, Mac & cheese, Rice & peas, gravy! It’s a take out spot so don’t expect anything fancy, just grab and go here.
