One of the restaurants inside of Eataly! It’s in the back corner next to the fresh pasta section. We came around 9PM on a Friday night and the wait was still an hour! We opted to wait since none of us were too hungry yet and it was our first time at Eataly, and it would give us a chance to check it out! The menu consists of… pizza and pasta!!!(and appetizers). We got four pastas to share among the five of us. We got the pappardelle, calamari, pasta al forno, and bucatini! There is complimentary bread that is served after you order. They pour some olive oil for you to dip it in — you have to ask for the balsamic if you want it. The bread was average, would be better if served warm! Pappardelle: Had lamb and mint in it — I know it’s a popular combination, but never had it before, so it was a little weird to me at first, but after a couple of bites, it was addicting! Calamari: Ringed pasta with an assortment of seafood — this was probably my least favorite dish because it was a lot more fishy than I thought it was going to be, but it was my mom’s favorite dish because it had so much of that seafood flavor! It really depends on your preference. Once again, the pasta was cooked perfectly and there was an ample amount of seafood in the dish. Pasta Al Forno: Lasagna! SO delicious!!! The pasta was thin and there were so many layers, and just having all the layers in one bite was so satisfying. Definitely one of the better lasgnas I’ve had. Bucatini: It may seem like your typical meat sauce pasta on paper, but in real life, it’s amazing! One of my biggest worries about meat sauce with pasta is that it will be mushy, and this is not! When they say they cook it al dente, they mean it. There was a slight bite to the bucatini, making it a delight to eat! All the portions for the pasta were good, the five of us left stuffed. Overall, excellent place to try and have an experience at! Saw a couple pizzas come out and they looked equally as amazing — so that’s a must try next time!

Obviously the pasta at Mario Batali’s temple of food is superb. We split the penne with sausage and spring onions and the bucatini amatriciana — both of which were perfectly cooked and seasoned, again, obviously. We also ordered the salumi misti(which was initially forgotten and then brought with our main courses). Decent wine selection. The wait is pretty long I think no matter when you go, but Eataly is not a bad place to wander around and kill time while you wait. VERY loud, as the tables are right by the kitchen, which is fun to watch, but definitely an echoey and loud atmosphere.

The wait was 30 — 45 minutes. It was not bad, we walked around eataly(restaurant is located within) and checked back in 30 minutes. My friend and I got seated, and after we ordered our food took no longer than 10 to 15 minutes to be served. I was surprised because of the weight time. Over all, the food was really good. Pricey, a bit but it’s NY downtown so what do you expect? Server was really nice, I do not remember his name. Over all good experience.

So unlike many reviews our party of 4 was able to be seated quickly which started us off to a good start, and that is where it ended for me. Forgive me for forgetting the dish names because that’s how memorable they were. The only thing good was the food came out super fast and the wine was decent. Bread — They bring out a single slice for each of us. The bread was cold and frankly tasted stale. In a place with a pizza oven and full of elaborate items in their market I’d like to think you’d get fresh warm crusty bread. Nope. Entrée — I like to try items that are different when I travel so I ordered the ravioli with the stracchino and hot honey. Please drop this dish from your menu! I consulted with the waiter whether he recommended it and he did. Maybe it’s because it was unfittingly the most expensive pasta dish. It was lukewarm and undercooked(not al dente). It was like they spilled honey on a plate of ravioli in the fridge. No flavor depth, no nothing. It was screaming for some kind of acid or seasoning. It was terrible. Do not order. I tasted bites from the remainder of my party — pasta with lamb ragu, the short rib pasta, and the pasta with broccoli and spinach and chili flakes. I wanted to chuck a rack of salt and herbs to the kitchen. The other dishes weren’t BAD but they were not good in my opinion. Just so painfully bland. Considering the multitude of amazing Italian eateries in NYC, this was a fail. Even the table next to us had both their dishes wrong. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the waiter was nice(besides his poor rec on my entrée). Oh and mind you though, the guy who brought out our plates handed them to us from the corner. Not trying to sound foofy, but that is not respectful service. I was waiting for someone’s food to come sliding off and onto their laps.

This place is so good we ate there twice in a week long visit to NYC! The first time we ordered the Calamari seafood pasta, Cacio e Pepe, Fusilli with mushrooms and Lasagna with Bolognese, all were amazing. The second time we ordered the Tagliatele with short rib Ragu, Buchatini with Guanciale, Agnolotti and the Verace TSG pizza. The Verace TSG pizza was superb, quite possibly the best I ever had, blows away the pizza at John’s of Time Square. The Buchatini with Guanciale was out of this world! Hands down everyone’s favorite, quite possibly the best pasta I ever had in a restaurant. The Agnolotti was also delicious. I did not care for the Tagliatalle, thought the sauce did not taste fresh, but my family liked it. The ambiance at this place is casual but nice. Both times we were seated without having to wait, though we got there pretty early for dinner, before 5:30pm. The service was okay, friendly but not particularly quick. The second day when we sat down we actually had to ask the waiter to give us new, clean water glasses because the ones at the table looked dirty. The waiter also brought us bread wrapped in a wrapper with a piece of gum stuck to it, eeewww! We had to send it back and the waiter was very apologetic about it. The prices are okay for NY I guess, every dish is around $ 18 to $ 20, quite pricey for just pizza/pasta but then it’s NY. We had many fond memories of NY but Eataly easily holds our fondest memories. It’s not just this restaurant, the whole store is amazing.

When you go to Eataly it’s impossible to wander around and not end up eating something. I had lunch at La Pizza & La Pasta, after waiting for 20 minutes, but it was completely worth it. The appetizers were really nice and I ordered Agnolotti raviolis for myself, which turned out to be the best ones I have tried so far. The flavor was perfect, the sauce excellent and the amount of cheese just right. The service was also good, although I couldn’t help but feel like they were rushing as a bit. Understandable because of the waiting line, but annoying none the less. I can’t wait to go again!

I’ve eaten at Manzo, Il Pesce, the Bierriera and at La Pizza and La Pasta. La Pizza and La Pasta is by far my favorite. On this visit I had the Pizza Genovese which is a pesto pizza topped with fresh mozzarella and proscuitto Excellent! I was dining alone and was seated at the end of the counter right next to the expeditor’s stand so it was pretty fun just to watch how they get so much pasta out, so quickly. A well oiled machine everyone was in good sync with runners grabbing a plate only to have the next dish arrive right on its heels. Yes, it is trendy and yes, there is better pizza in NYC but Eataly is the whole experience, not just the meal.

Long waiting time(15 – 30 mins average for lunch). You can put your name on the wait list first, then go wondering around. I tried homemade Coca Pappardelle with wild boar. It’s a very rich pasta dish with good sauce. It’s above average, but it’s not like the most amazing pappardelle I’ve ever tried. The Capricciosa pizza with thin crust is actually really good. I love the fresh mozzarella and delicious prosciutto + artichokes, mushrooms and olives. Don’t miss out on the wide assortment of interesting imported sodas and tonics. Dry pomegranate soda is fantastic, not too sweet. Overall, it’s a good dining experience because walking around Di Etaly will make you really hungry :)

Mmmm I could eat here every day. I knew when I found out I was going to New York that I wanted to go to eataly to eat at least once. We were there for 3 days about, and we ended up going here twice! Everything was amazing, the pasta, the ravioli, the pizza, the gnocchi. Amazing. In large cities where options are pretty much endless I have a hard time going to the same place twice. I want to experience it all. But this was where we decided to go on our last day after all of the other disappointed meals we had at other establishments. The service was fantastic. The food incredible. If I had one complaint, it would simple be that the tables feel a bit cramped. Nothing I can’t deal with though. I will be back whenever I get the chance to go back to New York. In fact I may just have to find a hotel that is as close as possible! Well… Maybe not, that could be dangerous for my wallet… And my waist line… Mmmm carbs!

Food was great, menu interesting and a lot of variety for vegetarians. The wine list is also pretty extensive. The have sparkling shires & reds by the glass. The reservation system is a joke. Two of us put put name down to sit at the counter or a table. We were told 45 minutes. We came back after 45 mins and waited another 40 while other people were rolling up and being seated immediately. When we asked, they said they were busy and not following the list. Not following a list??? Why bother having a list? Just state the booking system is anarchy so we all know where we stand And don’t waste our time. Unfortunately this unprofessionalism outweighed the really good food for me.

I stopped here for dinner after browsing through all the delicious sections of Eataly. There was a wait at the hostess desk but I was there alone so I was seated right away at the counter. The wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly and helped me choose a delicious red wine and settle on the«penne» pasta dish with gluten free pasta. It took a while for the food to come out because of how busy it was but it was definitely worth the wait once it arrived. The pasta dish featured sweet sausage and brussel sprouts, and I topped it off with a healthy amount of shaved parmesan. The gluten free pasta used in the dish was cooked al dente and had all the great qualities of regular flour pasta, which is hard to come by. The portion was huge, but the environment was so casual and laid back that I ended up staying for quite some time and ended up finishing the entire dish. I was so full after the meal, but it was well worth it!

I was looking for a pasta restaurant within Eataly and stumbled upon this one. I would say it’s not too different from other Italian places. It’s a bit on the pricey side for the portion sizes so it definitely falls into the tourist trap category. I still give this joint 4 stars for the fun experience and nice staff.

I was much more impressed with La Pizza and La Pasta than Il Pesce. I found the latter to be overpriced and not filling, while La Pizza and La Pasta was much more reasonable! I had the pizza topped with artichokes, mushrooms, and prosciutto, and it was delicious($ 19). I tried a piece of my friend’s sausage and mushroom pizza and was even more impressed with the flavors! The pizzas are very thin, so one pizza is the perfect portion for one. I was debating between pizza and pasta for a while, but after looking at pictures and reading the ingredients, the pizza selection definitely looked a lot more impressive than the pasta selection.

I came here a few years ago and the food was unbelievable! Just incredible. A lot has changed. The menu has become very uninspired, the flavors is all the food are bland or just totally off. I ordered the pizza appetizer and the sauce has a weird sickly sweet taste to it, as did my friend’s margarita pizza. My husband ordered the gnocchi with chicken and the chicken looked like it came right out of a can and was covered in an incredibly unappetizing gloopy grey colored sauce. He barely touched it. My other friend ordered the paparadelle with lamb ragu and said the whole thing was pretty tasteless. The crust of the pizza was the only saving grace here. This meal was really disappointing and its unfortunate that this restaurant has become this.

Eataly, you disappointed me. Yes, I know some might view you as a tourist trap, but I always viewed you as this awesome place. I’ve gone to the rooftop and was impressed by the place. I only tried the meat and cheese plates up there. Finally, we decided to dine here! 45 minute wait at 3 on a Sunday. Okay, so we strolled around and were texted when our table was ready. The waitress was friendly. She asked if we ever dined here before and although we said no she didn’t offer any extra information about the menu. I found out the left side of the menu is not the fresh pasta when I asked the assistant if the pasta was homemade. He said mine wasn’t, which was more than obvious. So we began with the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. It came out very quick. The cheese was tasty, needed some salt, and tender. The prosciutto was tender and tasty. A bit pricey at $ 16, but worth it. I ordered the pasta with fresh mozzarella and eggplant. Once again it was about $ 16, so a very fair price. The price was equivalent to the dish. It was very plain and something I could easily duplicate at home. The person I was dining with ordered the lasagna. It tasted fresher than mine(right side of the menu). It was also about $ 16. The food and appetizer were brought out with about five minutes between each. Overall, we don’t plan to return. Sadly, maybe I’m starting to believe it is a tourist trap.

Whenever I find myself with a little time off in the mid-afternoon, I try to peep into Eataly to enjoy an early dinner. I would strongly warn against trying to get a table during prime lunch or dinner hours — visit mid-afternoon or at night(Eataly closes late). And the smaller your party, the faster you will get seated. The food is so good here, I don’t mind going solo for immediate seating. Priorities. Though I’ve tried quite a few pasta and pizza dishes here, the standout to me is for meat-eaters only. The Agnolotti(pictured below) is superior by a wide margin, and it blows my taste buds away every time. I also highly enjoy the well-executed Insalata Di Finocchio. Tip for those on a budget: La Stella is a pizza on the appetizers list(pictured below). It’s actually quite sizable and works as an entrée while being at least a few dollars cheaper than the other pizzas.

Eataly is a magical place. I could spend hours in there just browsing all the different items they have in the grocery sections. Of course, browsing Eataly makes you super hungry, so we sat down to share a quick pasta here. We shared the Tagliatelle with Short Rib Ragu. Perfectly al dente pasta with a tasty sauce. Plus, the bread they serve beforehand is fresh and crusty as well.

I hate how touristy Eataly is, how crowded it always is, and how you always have to wait an hour for a freakin table at La Pizza y La Pasta, but damn is this delicious pizza and pasta. This is definitely one of the best neopolitan pizzas I’ve had in Manhattan. The ingredients are simple but fresh and top notch, just like how they do it in Italy. For an upgrade on the traditional margherita, you have to try the Verace, which has mozzarella di bufala and EVOO. The pastas are also delicious — we liked the ring pasta with calamri as well as the classic rigatoni with eggplant and mozzarella. If you don’t mind fighting the tourist crowds and waiting a minimum of 30 minutes, the food at la pizza y la pasta is definitely worth it.

Going to Eataly is a definitely an unique experience — whether you are shopping for some italian groceries, or coming here to grab a coffee, gelato, or a bite… you’re always in awe at the existence of such a great food market that embodies the Italian culture and Mario Batali’s culinary vision. I really enjoyed dinner at La Pizza & La Pasta — I came here around 7pm on Sunday so the wait time was about 20 minutes. We put our names down and we went to grab a cup of coffee. We ordered the Caprese salad and the Verace TSG pizza(which is pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella di bufala, fresh basil, and extra virign olive oil) to share. The caprese salad was so fresh — the fresh mozzarella has a great soft, creamy texture and the baby tomatoes were sweet and juicy — has a nice acidic balance to the fresh mozzarella. The Verace TSG pizza is so hearty and pleasant. Soooo cheesy — this pizza is pretty much the margherita pizza that has turned up the notch with the ingredients; the mozzarella di bufala is more of a soft and creamier texture topped with the extra virgin olive oil which gives a nice touch. The only fault I can say(and it’s a small one) is I wish the crust can hold the sauce and cheese better — the toppings were too heavy for the crust so it was kind of difficult getting the first bite in without making a mess. We also shared the quadrati pasta which are ravioli filled with spinach, ricotta and parmigiano Reggiano topped with pistachio and lemon butter. I would say this ravioli is your pretty standard delicious pasta you can get in some of the best italian restaurants in NYC… cooked perfectly al dente, packed with flavor. If you still have room for dessert, do yourself and head over to the gelato section!!!

This place is CRAZY crowded, but if you have patience, its worth staying for food. Upon entering Eatery, head to the back of the place, and veer right. Put your name down and then roam the Eatery marketplace. I came here to celebrate my birthday with 13 other friends on a Friday night. Our wait time was an hour, but well worth it. We were seated upstairs in a private room. It was a very narrow room, impossible to walk around, but I really liked the coziness of the room. We were told ahead of time that some food take longer than others, and we were given bread wrapped in paper along with olive oil for dipping while 1 of the 2 servers took our drink and food order. The food took about 20 minutes(give or take). I shared a pizza and pasta with Stephen, and thought the pasta won hands down. The portions aren’t huge, but the size we «should eat». Everything is fresh, and just like Italy, no refills on drinks. They only specialize in pasta and pizza, so if you want coffee and dessert, you have to go to that part of Eataly for it. I had a very memorable visit, and a great birthday. I can’t wait to try out the one in Los Angeles and compare.
