I especially like that they emphasize adorning gorgeous you rather than padding you up, pushing you up, and covering you up.

even tho i am a fan of all products la perla — i did not hear until lately that their body talc is/​was cancer causing — i just contacted them in new york and new jersey, james told me he knew about it years ago and refused to exchange or refund for three brand new body talc ’ absolutely no customer service –this to me an avid luxury goods shopper, is u nbelievable.

I went in here with not the highest expectations after having hit Agent Provocateur and Kiki, but
.god. I was completely blown away by the most gorgeous nightgown I’ve ever seen in my life. Chantilly lace, a sheer back, and some of the softest, smoothest silk I’ve ever felt in my life.
For the hell of it I tried it on, and lamented that I would’ve liked a little more support in the chest, and my incredibly helpful salesperson told me she could do alterations on it within an hour.
I hemmed and hawed over the pricetag for a while and then said, «fuck it.» I rarely buy myself anything so decadent, so a splurge once in a while seems completely worth it… and goddamn is this nightgown worth it. I feel like a princess wearing it. If I could wear it everywhere I would. It just feels like noire glamour.
I later found out that the nightgown is typically not available in the states so I feel extra happy about it now.
Considering how much it drained my bank account for the moment I may just end up trying to figure out ways to wear it out, cause seriously, this thing is more gorgeous than my wedding dress.

Yes their bras and underwear are beautiful but at these prices their customer service leaves something to be desired! I will never buy anything there again because of the ridiculous service I received when trying to use a store credit. I received two bra and panty sets from La Perla as a gift and they were both the wrong size. I returned them at the Soho store for a credit because they did not have anything else I liked at the time. A few weeks later I was by their store on 14^th street and popped in. I found some stuff I liked and tried to use my store credit. I was told I could not!!! I could only use my store credit at the Soho store where the gift was purchased. Give me a break!!! The manager explained the credit was only good at the store where it was purchased and not their other two New York stores. Then the manager admitted all three stores have different stock and what I wanted to buy wasn’t, naturally, available at the Soho store. In the end I had to return to the Soho store three times over the course of a year to use my credit because when I dropped by they usually didn’t have anything in my price range or in my size. Finally I bought something I didn’t even like that much just to use the credit up. Ridiculous!!! To top it all off, and this bit is funny… the lingerie was bought for me by a gentleman friend. He later told me that when he went to the store to buy the gifts for me he asked a salesgirl for help finding a nice style and size. Guess what? The salesgirl hit on him! And asked him if he wanted to go out with her while he was in town! NIce!!! Maybe La Perla is in the business of selling something a little extra!
In summation, not as classy and professional a retail experience as their price range would imply.

Why I Love La Perla:
–The lingerie is so gorgeous, I almost don’t want to wear it but rather, decorate my house with it… though that would be weird.
–The lingerie is great quality… you get what you pay for
–The service is fabulous
–Did I mention how insanely beautiful their stuff is?
This has to be the prettiest and sexiest store ever.

If they have your size you will feel like a beautiful princess in the wonderful fabrics and stunning cuts. Expect to spend a few $$$$ here if you’re interested in shopping. Very high quality Italian Lingerie.
