great experience with the La Colombe coffee. I am very impressed with its coffee taste and its milk. love this place and its service…

Heard great things about the pure black and tan from a couple friends so I was pretty hyped to try. Pure black & tan is ½ black, ½ draft latte. They both were offered off tap which is something I really really dig. It was really smoooth and didnt have the acidity that most cold brews/iced coffees have whicH I really liked. In fact, it kind of reminded me of nitro coffee(foamy top and almost cascading layers). La columbe lives up to its name ~

Best coffee I’ve had in NYC so far! My boyfriend and I are both annoyingly serious about our coffee, and this café’s creations taste just like the ones we make ourselves. High quality beans, smooth texture of the milk, and wonderfully topped off with latte art. We both ordered their regular lattes and were super impressed, we just wanted to keep drinking more! Relatively affordable and in a fab location. Very modern interior, limited seating so it’s more of a grab&go kinda café.

Latte here is divine. Love their coffee!!! I just wish they had hemp milk option like DC and Philly. Delish all the same.

Great coffee is a given, but the curved counter and how you move from waiting in line, ordering, and then getting your drink made a great experience even better. I’d just been to a La Colombe in Washington DC a couple weeks before during a business trip. The experience at the two locations felt similar enough to know they’re part of the same family, but different enough to make them unique. I’m looking forward to meeting the next coffee sibling.

Two words. Holy. Shit. This place is amazing! The minute I walked into La Colombe, the smell of their coffee put an instant smile on my face. Their drip coffee is no joke. Definitely will stay as one of my top coffee spots in NYC.

The Hype Is Real I was sceptical that a small coffee shop had close to 600 reviews and pushing a 5 star, but these guys deserve all the review and stars. I drink a lot of coffee and although I’m not a coffee snob and enjoy some of the chain coffee shops, I know the good from bad. With that being said, this place has some of the tastiest and well balanced drip coffee I’ve had in New York. Can’t wait to stop by again when in the area.

Unbelievable coffee. This place makes my usual daily Starbucks taste like pure trash. I had the cold brew and I was literally buzzing with caffeine. So delicious. My friend had a draft iced latte and it was unreal. Tasted like a milkshake. Not the healthiest choice but try it at least once. I wish they’d open a location in midtown near my job. I’d be here everyday.

Consistent coffee service with high quality beans, I guess these two are the most important things judging a coffee shop and La Colombe have got both. Sunday afternoon was in general a bad time for getting good coffee as the coffee shop is usually filled with crowd. However my server still got me everything I need quickly and grind my beans patiently. Unlike their Noho location, the Soho one was slightly smaller(with less seating area); however it successfully provided me same level of vibe. Will return for more coffee!

LOVE the latte draft. Whatever they use it tastes creamy and rich. I’m not a coffee expert but I’d come here every day if it was closer to me. There’s always a line and it does wrap around the island about 10−15min wait. High ceiling and comfortable seatings near the windows for people watching or even at the bar so you can watch them make coffee for coffee lovers! If you get regular coffee there is refill for $ 1 !

Very busy, and for good reason! I totally recommend their coffee. They have multiple locations, and this one is one of the smaller ones. They are very efficient and get you your coffee almost immediately. They give you a little plate and your own spoon(so you don’t waste little sticks, which I think is great) and a lid. Not a place for sitting for a long time to do work on your computer, mostly because it’s so busy, but also the chairs didn’t look super comfy. It’s a get your coffee to go type place.

This has to be the best coffee in all of the city. They do one thing and they do it RIGHT!!! The flavor is awesome and makes you wanting cup after cup. The one negative thing is that this shop has to be the smallest of all in the city. It’s about the size of a postage stamp and always seems to be busy with no room to enjoy your coffee leaving you to get your brew to go and hit the streets to enjoy. On a side note across the street from this location is the home of the late great David Bowie.

This place isn’t cheap, but if there’s any reason to go back, it’d be for the great coffee and great service(lots of smiles and friendly vibes)! I popped in on a sunny weekday at around noon(which I suppose was my demise), and there were no seats available– then again, there is already minimal seating to begin with. Def a great place to pop in and out to get to-go coffee, and the service was pretty fast despite how many people were inside. I ordered an iced triple almond milk latte and it was super creamy and smooth; they let you add your own syrup or sugar, so flavor preference is all on you! I did see the cute pastries but I was on my way to grab lunch so I opted out. If I stumble through SoHo again I’ll give them a try! :)

Checked out this location this past week on a business trip with my wife. Being from Philadelphia, which is the Birthplace of La Colombe we have high expectations for any of the outer state locations. The SOHO location did not disappoint. The coffee was spot on and so were the pastries. My only complaint is the small size of this particular location but hey, it’s NYC.

I’m not a coffee connoisseur but my friends are and this is their favorite coffee shop(taste wise, not to lounge around bc there really isn’t a chance you can do that here). There’s a reason why, though… The coffee is LEGIT. Hence now every time I’m in Soho with someone visiting(most of the time they are coffee junkies), we have to stop here. They don’t have a menu so I’m assuming they can make anything. Idk, I always just get a default soy latte, which is sooooooooooo good. Creamy, not too frothy, aromatic, true«coffee taste». Mmmmm. There is always a line, sometimes out the door. But they are pretty quick! Very hard to get seating.

Considering the long line of tormentedly anguished caffeine-stricken patrons and the uncompromisingly fanatical, slightly domineering staff, I almost always lose sight of why I come to La Colombe each time I’m waiting to order. But then, after I reach the finish line and pour some milk in my red eye coffee while confidently making eye contact with the closest barista as I compromise the sanctity of their craft, I take a sip and remind myself that adversity often leads to success.

La Colombe NY: Manhattan: SoHo 2pm Sunday 22nd November 2015 Three Stars Usually Colombe is outstanding but this original location did not deliver today. I patiently waited in the 10 person line which moved slower than usual. There was some communication break down and mix up of how many cappuccinos were to be made, meaning it took a while for me to get mine. Next Time…

real review: 3.5 stars I really wanted to like this place a lot. It falls short in my book because of the service. If it weren’t for the pretentious attitude towards customers, I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars. Coffee-wise, I tried the cold brew and thought it was pretty good. It’s served off of tap which is always a plus in my book. Pretty smooth, but also a bit pricey for what you get.

Nice coffee shop in the heart of SoHo. Ordered the iced latte and it did not disappoint! Good quality espresso. Line was out the door however it moved quickly and efficiently. Will be back to try the pastries!

The King of Coffee and best in NYC, in my opinion. I love the proprietary South American beans they use as I tend to prefer coffee beans(and chocolate) from S. America than Africa(which can be too bitter and less delicate, in my opinion). No frills place, using old school cream, real sugar and real metal spoons to stir. Nice airy space as well. Can’t go wrong here and don’t miss an opportunity to grab an exceptional cup of coffee, especially on a cool or dreary day.
