I think their food might be even more amazing than the traditional Korean rice dishes I’ve tasted at proper sit down restaurants. I have no idea how they do it, but my bowl was absolutely delicious — and they don’t skimp on the ingredients either. Being a huge fan of spice, I ordered the Hot Chix with K’lla sauce and it was a perfect mixture of heat with a tinge of sweetness. Service was quick and friendly, pretty typical of food trucks.

i used to go try to catch them whenever the food truck is in NYU Palladium in 14th street. I love this place. I have only been to this place twice but it’s always worth the wait(whether the line is long or the food is being prepped) Tried their Tiger Balls and Kimcheese Fries it was filling. Bought another batch for my family to enjoy. Great place to eat whether on-the-go or to stay. Happy 1 year to this location. Hope to come back again.

I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after ten attempts, I give up. They skimp on the portions and the quality has increasingly gotten worse at an increasing rate. They give you a ton of rice with a splash of overcooked, rubbery meat and don’t have a lot of veggie options even at the outset. I showed up at 11:45AM, there was no line, and they said they«ran out of the cucumber» side? Ummm, ok? The food and service have gone down hill as well as their grammar and service. Total jerks.

So overhyped :(This place is one of the biggest disappointments ever! I decided to give it 3 chances on different days, locations, & dishes but every time I am super disappointed. Food quality is terrible, always cold, and just not appetizing. I expected more out of these guys… only good thing I can mention is how the service and staff is good/friendly. Seems like every part of the dish is a disaster… pretty sad to say.

I’ve had their food twice and each time was amazing. I love the pork and chicken the most. The flavor meld really well together.

I understand that Comic Con is a volatile environment with a lot of demand. That being said, the food was cold, stale, and servings disproportionate. It was certainly not worth the +$ 12 I spent to have cold, old, and stale sticky rice; and a few pieces of chicken. You had run out of every protein aside from chicken. That should’ve been advertised better before I waited 45mins for you to tell me. When I got my chicken, what few pieces I received were dry, and there certainly wasn’t enough sauce to help. Unfortunately, I was too hungry and the line too long to complain, and I reluctantly ate what I was given. Quite frankly, if this food is below par of what you normally serve, your prices should’ve been discounted. I’m not sure I can recommend your food truck, or if I would eat your food again. EDIT: After reviewing my receipt, I realize I was charged for a ribeyebowl. I ordered chicken because that is all they had. I really hope this is a simple mistake in your computer system, and I wasn’t charged for steak… because that would be really upsetting.

They should LOWERTHEIROBNOXIOUSMUSICSOTHEYCANHEAR! Tried the truck at 47th and Park and though the small amount of beef bulgogi was good. There was no kimchi and 2 little slivers of bacon in their kimchi fried rice which was bland and flavorless and they were out of cheese and salsa and basically half the sauces on their menu. $ 10 for little bit of meat over bland rice, not to mention the sore throat from screaming at the guys in the truck who couldn’t hear over their own music.

I’m so conflicted with Korilla, as I was a huge fan when they were solely a truck, and I don’t nag constantly that«they’re not as good as they used to be.» When they only had their truck, the staff was small and they were really kind, always piling on extras when they had the opportunity. The bowls could fill up two of my meals and every ingredient was fresh and delicious. However, now I’ve tried it twice after they’ve expanded and the meat is tough and flavorless. The bulgogi still remains my favorite meat, but the kalbi was so tough to bite into.

So I had been wanting to try Korilla for a long time after hearing that its one of the better food trucks in the city. The line wasn’t too bad – about what you would expect for a busy food truck in Midtown on a Friday, I waited 10 – 15 minutes. Moving on to the food, I got a burrito with the spicy pork, bacon kimchi fried rice, cheese, pico, kimchi slaw, and their koho(medium) and k’lla(hot) sauces. The parts I enjoyed most of the burrito were the rice and kimchi slaw – both were delicious. The slaw was crisp, sour and the bacon added an interesting element to the rice. However the portion of meat was not worth the price and wasn’t spicy enough for my tastes. The sauces were ok at best. All in all, I don’t think it lived up to the hype – good food but not close to the best food truck I’ve been too or Korean I’ve had.

Amazing. We had the food truck come for our wedding in Brooklyn 7⁄3 and they were great. Team was friendly and the food was beyond our expectations. The only unfortunate thing was my wife and I kept getting pulled away from our tacos so we didn’t get more than a few bites. When we looked up they were gone. We live in Chicago but as soon as we go back to NY(didn’t have time wedding weekend) we will be going back to sample everything we missed. Thanks Korilla. Chicago is a great market

I remember the glorious day of the Korilla truck, where people will line up for hours just to get a taste of their tacos and rice bowl. I was one of those people back in the days, I remember them dominating the food truck scene in New York back in the days and that it was a big deal when you tell someone that you actually got Korilla and people would get excited talking about them. So when I see their truck at the FiDi today with no one on line, I hopped on it immediately, hoping to relive those happy Korilla memories. It’s a little sad to say but as many other Unilocalers have accurately put it, the food just ain’t like how it used to be. The Korilla truck I remember were a bunch of super friendly guys, happy, smiling and greeting you when you are by their truck. They will gladly explain their menu to you in detail. They will pile so much meat into your tacos/rice bowl that you can have two meals from it. The meats were flavorful and got a good kick to it. They will make some small talks with you while you wait. Gone were those days. Today I was there, I see a bunch of grumpy guys that greets you with«what do you want?» people who were trying to figure out what to get were looked down upon by the faces behind the counter. Meat were given at a minimum, you’ll still get plenty of rice and vegetable but no meat, to make matter worst, the meat were dry, tough and not very flavorful. The people working there would rather talk to each other than to socialize with you unless you are a female and attractive. What happened to the Korilla I used to love and look forward to seeing? Where are those guys who used to be passionate about giving the best customer service they got? Where are those oh-so flavorful meats you used to pump out? I’m not going to ask about the portion because I can understand inflation but where are those pride that you once had when you dominated the food truck scene in New York City? Looking forward to seeing the old Korilla again!

Very disappointed. I got chicken for my rice bowl and the amount of chicken was just saddening. It was mostly rice. The side veggies are meh. The hottest sauce(K’illa) was also disappointing — not really spicy at all. I’m half Korean — I know what I’m talking about, and this barely scratches the surface. The sauce that the chicken was marinated in — makes me feel like I could be eating rat meat and I wouldn’t be able to the tell the difference at that point. I also felt like they were really half-assing everything. I get it — gotta get the line moving, but seriously? Totally unimpressive service with completely BLAH food. Never again. I don’t even like Chipotle much but I’d prefer that over Korilla. With that said, good job on bumpin’ 90s rap near my work area — refreshing but a bit oddly placed. All in all though? THEYSUCK. Perhaps I should’ve tried it years ago when the hype might’ve been real.

GOODFOR: Lunch MENUSELECTION: They make it real simple for you and it works like many restaurant lines these days 1) choose a burrito or bowl(like you would at Chipotle) 2) choose a protein to add into your base 3) choose a topping(cheese or pico) 4) choose veggies and 5) choose a sauce FOOD: I ordered the Sticky Rice with Bulgogi. The portion size was fair compared to what I paid. The rice was a bit soggy from the salad’s contents, but the overall dish was pretty good. The meat was tender and the sauce was a nice addition. The flavors of the meat and salad with the riced mixed well. SERVICE: The order was prepared very quickly and from that I mean it seemed like everything was prepped ahead of time so all they had to do was scoop the options into the tupperware. There’s an obvious pro and con to that, but the food quality was good so I couldn’t complain here.

Came here while they were in FiDi the other day and boy… do I sure miss Cinnamon Snail. I was feeling mighty hungry so I ordered the burrito with tofu, sticky rice, kimchi and crap load of other veggies. The setup had a very«Chipolte» type of feel where everything was PLOP, PLOP, PLOP… PAY. I topped it off with their«KBBQ» sauce and proceeded to a near by table where I intended to destroy this thing. Honestly, to my findings, it was pretty bland. The tofu pretty much dominated in volume and took none of surrounding flavors. It was mushy, watery and tasteless. It was the texture-equivalent to smashed, boiled egg whites… sitting in water. I know. GROSS. What really turned me off was that my burrito wasn’t hot. At first It was KINDA warm but then the tofu brought the temp down like 10 degrees. Burritos should be hot, spicy, packed with beans and love. This burrito broke all the burrito commandments. I still ate the whole thing because I’m a big ol’ fatty and I was dragon-starving.

Kapow! That is a feast of flavor. My tongue is reeling a bit from the sheer variety of information hitting it right now: spicy, sour, salty sweet, tangy… man, that was good. Very original, completely in your face, knock me over with a taco fare. If you like your food refined and subtle, this ain’t it. Enjoyed it immensely and will return for more.

The spicy pork was absolutely delicious. It had the perfect amount of spice that wasn’t overbearing to eat. I had it on a bed of kimchi bacon fried rice which was a great combo. Since it was my first time trying korilla I decided to try all the available toppings which included: Monterey Jack cheese, Pico, red kimchi, cucumber, carrots, bean sprouts, and squash. I decided to mix all the toppings with one another making a light Korean salad. It’s a great side to offset the heavy combo of the rice and pork. By the end of my meal I was left feeling satisfied without being overly stuffed. I’m not sure if it was just the truck that I ordered from but they only sold food, no drinks so make sure you bring a drink with you when you order.

I really wanted to like this. There was no line at the truck at all which was a nice surprise, and the service was just fine. I mentioned that it was my first time and the guy told me what was most popular. I ordered a Bulgogi Chosun Rice Bowl with Kimchi bacon fried rice and everything else on it. First of all, the portion was small for $ 10. It wasn’t alarmingly small, but it should’ve been more. If I were to compare it to Chipotle’s portions which I would consider to be reasonable, it was definitely under. There was very little rice. They only fill half the container. It wasn’t until after I finished my food that I read on Unilocal that they charge extra for the kimchi bacon rice. It was very overcooked and crunch. I also had some clusters. Definitely the bottom of the pot, and I was there at prime lunch hour. I tasted no bacon whatsoever. The only difference I saw or tasted was that it was a reddish color. Very disappointed with the rice. The bulgogi was okay. Also a very small amount. I expected it to be better considering the man said it was the most popular choice. Salsa and Cheese were non-existent. I didn’t particularly ask for it, but I asked for everything on it. And if they didn’t have it, he should’ve at least told me. All the veggies on top were fine, although very cold. They certainly loaded up on the extras to make up for all the space left in the container. I wonder if I would have gotten more rice and meat had I left out all the veggies. At Chipotle, they pretty much give you the same portions every time. Rice to cover the bowl, a few scoops of meat, and an overflowing package if you ask for all the extras. The sauces were good. I asked for Korilla sauce and K’Illa sauce on a whim. They didn’t explain to me what they were, but to be fair I didn’t ask. I have to say, there also could have been more. To top it all off, it was very cold, particularly the kimchi, and I found a little black hair. I believe they have a restaurant location now. MAYBE i’d give it another shot there, this way I could see what was going into my bowl, report any hairs and make sure it was hot. But there are plenty of other delicious food trucks in midtown that rarely disappoint. And if you’re ever in the New Brunswick, NJ area, across from the train station near rutgers, you’ll find KBG which features a similar menu, with a few more options and fun discount deals.

Looking for Korean food on the go in the Feast Village? Look no further than Korilla. Korilla made me think of Korean Gorilla, however their mascot is a Tiger, but I digress… The menu is essentially your choice of taco or bowl filled up with your choice of various Korean style meats, rice, veggies and your choice of sauce. I had the kalbi bowl with their«korean hot» sauce. The kalbi was not the best kabli I’ve ever had but for $ 13 fast food it was more than acceptable. They really fill the bowl to the brim. I tried to stir everything up to really mix in the sauce, but it was really hard to do without spilling. The meat was good, the veggies were crisp and fresh, and the rice really tied everything together. The sauce itself was more tangy than spicy, but no complaints taste wise. All in all very filling, and I left completely satisfied. If you want to eat good, but also want to eat fast, keep Korilla on your radar!

Was so glad this truck was at comiccon as opposed to the overpriced fast food inside. I had a combo with kimchi rice and chicken. Really wanted to try the bulgolgi but they had just run out. I like Korean food in general and this place didn’t disappoint, especially with the Kimchi and Kimchi rice options. It was cash only so luckily I had cash on me to spot one of my friends. Don’t know if it is cash only normally or just that day. Would definitely eat at this truck again if one of them is every near my office for lunch.
