This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. The staff is EXTREMELY rude. I purchased a bad bottle of wine and when I went back to let them know, they accused me of being drunk and said the wine was not bad(without even trying it). Don’t go here.

Great neighborhood find. I love that they have a well stocked selection of wine under $ 25. A convenient place to drop by after work.

this place only cares about moving a lot of very cheap, and very ordinary to bottom of the barrel wine. horrible sake, none authentic. staff that is not wine educated at all, and some guy who I suspect is the owner or manager, when he’s there he’s yelling at someone on the phone or another staff. he is the reason i refuse this place even though this place is ½ block from my house. instead i head 4 blocks south to a far better shop.

I was desperate for a local wine store. Kips Bay Wine & Liquor was close-by. UGH! The wine was SO overpriced. Not only that, the store staff stood behind the counter and never approached to assist me. I made a selection and purchased. Of the four people standing there(apparently waiting for a rush of customers), not one said thank you. I normally shop down at Astor Wine and Trader Joe’s. where the values are great. I guess I’ve learned to keep my wine rack inventory well stocked because shopping at Kips Bay Wine & Liquor is no place to go when your desperate for wine.
