Horrible- doesn’t do insurance appraisals.

These guys are great. I had some pearls that I recently purchased in another country and I wanted to know if they were real or not. Lynn was able to fit me into David’s schedule at short notice and he was kind enough to evaluate them as well as give me valuable insights on what to look for in the future. I was only charged a modest fee as I was not looking for a comprehensive valuation. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.

David, Lynn and Michael are the best! Had my new eternity wedding band appraised with Steve and he was professional and thorough. He found an error with the appraisal given to me by the jeweler!

David is very professional and gracious with his time. Besides a family diamond engagement ring, I also brought in a diamond watch to find out if it was worth appraising. David was very familiar with the brand and style of the watch. Although it was «expensive» at the time, it has only «modest» value today b/​c it’s no longer fashionable. He provided a ballpark estimate at no charge. He was spot on when I checked out the watch on ebay and Esty.

We needed some urgent help with value of some jewelry. David saw us on the same day we rang. We got great advice which allowed us to save tens thousands on the price of what we bought. He is a true professional who is a credit to his trade, he is thorough, explains how he gets to his valuation and you really do understand what you are buying. Highly recommended.

Mr. Wolf was extremely helpful and generous with his time and expertise. He didn’t charge me b/​c what I’d brought (some heirloom watches) wasn’t worth enough to justify the expense. I highly recommend him.

I hadn’t had my diamond ring appraised in 10 years so went to Just Appraisers for an updated appraisal. David Wolf did the appraisal and I was totally impressed with how thorough he was in examining the stone and getting comps for it while explaining every step of the process to me. The cost (explained to me before my appointment) was $ 250/​hour and was absolutely worth it.
I understand now why Chubb insurance has him on their approved appraiser list. I would definitely recommend Just Appraisers and David Wolf .

Six stars if I could. Stop looking around, he is your guy. Bought a stone on the internet and needed it appraised. David spent an inordinate amount of time with me, talking me through every conceivable aspect of the stone, putting it through his expensive and sophisticated equipment, and using his skilled eye. He even had me sit at the microscope to inspect it. Linda and Mike went out of their way to make things smooth. I commented to them that their reputation online (pricescope, Unilocal,elsewhere) was just sterling, and they said it’s personal for them. If they don’t think they’ve helped you, they won’t charge you. Anyways, don’t cut corners on your expensive jewelry (not like David is expensive) and just head over to their office on fifth ave.

I went in with a pin of my grandmother’s to determine whether the stones in it were real or not. David quickly determined that they were real, and because I was only looking for verbal confirmation, he didn’t charge me! He answered all of my questions clearly and thoroughly and was incredibly kind and polite. If I ever have any jewelry appraisal needs again, I will be sure to go to him.

I wasn’t sure what to expect since this was my first time getting something appraised, but I was extremely impressed with David and his team (family=). They are beyond knowledgable and walk you through the entire process. If I have anything to appraise again I will 100% come back and will recommend all my friends and family as well.

David and his family are trained professionals that provide a pleasurable experience while delivering an honest, calculated appraisal for a very fair price. I’ve gone to David twice now for 3 rings and without a doubt I will be returning in the future for more appraisals. The attention to detail and the thoroughness of the appraisal are quite remarkable, but the best part is that he will explain everything to you without you even having to ask. He’s a wealth of knowledge who with his family, Lynn and Michael run a very nice operation with no hassle. Oh, I almost forgot, my insurance broker said that their way of sending their appraisal is unrivaled and would be so much easier if everyone else did it the same as they do.

I found Just Appraisers on Unilocal and I was really happy to see they live up to the great reviews. The service was fantastic. David is amazing, thorough and very informative. He guides you through the whole process. Gives you the cost for the appraisal beforehand. Prices are very fair and completely worthwhile if you need something appraised. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

David was very kind and professional while appraising my cheap ebay sapphire. He obviously took the evaluation seriously, examining the stone closely and slowly, despite it not being a high-​end purchase. I have full confidence in the value of the service he offered, and I hope that one day I’ll be able to have him appraise something of better quality.

I called and got an appointment within the hour. I had a diamond ring appraised. They were very accommodating.
David was very thorough and explained the whole appraisal process from start to finish. I learned a lot and didn’t feel rushed. He is very direct about the appraisal which i appreciated. He even gave me the option to save a report if I needed it later for insurance purposes.

David was great. Very diligent and detail oriented. Explains everything he is doing and is straightforward and honest. My original appraisal was from the jeweler I bought it from and it obviously came in much higher than what I paid. For insurance purposes, you don’t want to insure it for that much more than what you paid. David’s appraisal was backed up with public market data which he shares with you as he does the appraisal.

David was so amazing! I called Just Appraisers to get a ring that was donated to my non-​profit organization appraised. He took me right away, spent the time with him, and was incredibly professional and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Buying an engagement ring is fraught with pitfalls and rip offs. Before I made this purchase… my jewelry buying experience was the purchase of my highschool class ring.
Of course I had to make it more difficult on myself… First, I bought the stone from one of those guys on 47^th Street. Luckily, he sold me quality merchandise. How do I know? David did an extensive diamond appraisal. He reviewed the cut, color, clarify, and inclusions. The whole nine yards…
Next I got the stone set downtown at Little King. It turns out Little King (and the people who cast their rings) had some issues casting this ring. How do I know? David made close inspection of every nook and cranny. Little King took care of all the issues. How do I know? David certified that the ring is rock solid.
The report you get out of David is legit. He’s got some very cool high-​tech gear that lets him scan the stone and take pictures of the ring. The images came in handy; the wife-​to-​be sent pictures to her out-​of-​town parents.
