I love Juice Gen. The smoothies and açai bowls are always super yummy and fresh. I recommend Hail to Kale and Mucho Mango.

You are breaking my heart, Juice Gen, having completely changed your food menu and gotten rid of my favorite raw food in NYC! Please at least bring back a few favorites: the cashew ravioli, the taco salad… Why, why, why?

Great juices and smoothies and finally tried the vegan pop tart which is delicious! The staff is always very friendly as well. So happy it’s close by!

The acai bowls are the bomb and the staff is friendly and knowledgable about the ingredients. My one [semi-major] complaint is the lack of seating! Only 2 seats next to the door. If I’m paying $ 12 for a bowl of fruit and granola, I’d like to be able to sit and savor it.

I stopped recently and it’s my second time at this location… I frequent the W. 4th and their new location downtown often since I love their menu of juices, smoothies and acai bowls but mostly the staff is awesome. They are so friendly… I wish I could say the same about this location. I went in to get my favorite item — the PB Acai Bowl, it has changed up a bit so I asked them for no strawberries and instead of a scoop of PB on top; I asked for a swirl on top. Right off the bat, the girl at the cashier already had a look on her face… the place was empty so she went to tell the others how to make the bowl and as I wait, I can see them all snickering about how the PB should be done. I waited and now it started to get busy… all this time, I’m still waiting for my order. As the person finishing up my order, I see he sliced strawberries on top. Then the cashier told him, no strawberries so he went to re-do it. I have already been here for about 10 min, they never once said to me, I’m sorry but we messed up your order or anything… I waited there and watched them act as if they didn’t care that I was waiting there nor did the manager apologize for the wait and their mistake. I finally got to the point and said, is something wrong…“you guys all keep talking and I’m right here” The manager acted as if he didn’t care… he went to the back and said some things to his staff and they all started laughing. I have never been to a Juice Generation establishment and felt so uncomfortable that the staff is talking about you right in front of you and not once did they address me to say anything. The motto for Juice Generation is to create a friendly environment and this was not portrayed at all here. Before they were able to finish my order, I just walked out and took the loss b/c I never felt so out of place. I’m sure this is not how Mr. Helms thought the staff he hired would act in such a way… who would want to come in knowing the staff has no care about you as the customer. And from reading other reviews, this is not the first time the staff ignores customers and has no care. It’s very disappointing.

I wish I could quit you, fancy smoothie store!!! I stop in here when i’m in a TREATYOSELF mood because let’s be honest — $ 8 for a smoothie. To its credit, all the fruit they use really does taste fresh and sweet. I’ve never had issues with the workers here either — in fact if you ask really nicely as they’re pouring out your smoothie you can ask for all the leftover smoothie they can’t quite fit in your cup :) Bonus! Bottom line: if you’re into this type of smoothie/juicing you’ll enjoy Juice Generation otherwise just go a little bit down the street to the Jamba Juice if that’s your thing.

Ordered a Mr Greengenes, they gave me a ridiculous small drink and warm. Awful service for an $ 8 juice

Got the cashew butter smoothie. The listed ingredients are: raspberries, strawberries, frozen coconut milk, nut milk, cacao nibs and cashew butter. Problem is, when the person made my smoothie, I saw she put bananas and SQEEZEDSOMEMYSTERIOUSSYRUP into the blender, and these ingredients were definitely not listed. I personally have reactive hypoglycemia, meaning I have diabetic reactions when I eat high glucose foods. It can happen even when I eat healthy starches like sweet potato and banana, and the reason I chose the cashew butter smoothie was I assumed all sugar would come from berries, which have the lowest glycemic index among all fruits. Not only did I not want those bananas, I would really really not like them to squeeze extra sweetener into my smoothie. The point of going to these trendy health food shops is that you know what goes into your food. If the syrup was unrefined sweetener like honey or agave that’s fine, but they should definitely have been listed among the ingredients. Listing certain ingredients and omitting others is misrepresentation and false advertising.

Management needs to do some serious quality control. The staff were messing around and one of them(the one who unfortunately made my acai berry bowl) was definitely stoned or just a little slow. $ 11 for the worst acai berry bowl I’ve ever had. I even payed extra to have spinach added, but the non attentive staff even forgot to even put that in. I wish I wasn’t in a rush so I could have flat out returned it for a refund but I took it to go. Never going back to this location, just a bad experience overall.

Decent, if overpriced smoothies– they recently raised prices by a dollar, I heard staff tell another customer. While they accept credit cards, there is a 5 dollar minimum– shouldn’t be a problem if you get a smoothie, since they run well over that. I’m not a juice person and have no real reason to return here.

Came in for a salad and much needed juice tonight. The employees were messing around. I was first up waiting for my juice. They completely forgot mine. No apology and I asked for my money back. Instead of hi fiving your co-worker and ignoring customers, please make juice instead. I will stick with the one on the UES, much nicer crowd.

Great smoothies and açaí bowls. They make perfect summer breakfasts — fresh, clean and delicious! Very healthy — made with real foods instead of random syrups. Their Almond Butter Bliss and Mr. Geengenes are my all-time favourites! Definitely the best juice chain in the City! Simple and clean! If only they are slightly cheaper though…

Best tasting juices I’ve had and their foods are also very good, particularly the kale salad. Only complaint in the price and wish they had some kind of frequent buyer card.

I’m not into fads. Juice is… kind of a fad. However, Juice Generation became one of my loves in New York. The smoothies and acai bowls are so good and are real, good food. My first couple of trips there, I bought the acai bowls. I had just relocated from Southern California and I was feeling homesick. While, yes, acai bowls are basically just a smoothie in a bowl, these guys are boosted and can give you the energy that you need to get through your day. They’re sweet, fruity, tangy, and the toppings set it off to make the bowl even more delicious. A great breakfast super food at your fingertips! I love the almond butter one. The smoothies. The smoothies. The smoothies. I swear, these smoothies are like, on a completely different plane. I’ve tried a few, more pleasantly surprised than the time before. My personal favorite is the joyful almond. It’s like… the best almond smoothie that you’ll ever have. I’ve tried to find comparable smoothies in the city. I have failed. If you want something green — Mr. Greengene is sooo good. If you want something light — the smooth strawberry is excellent. I never felt bad putting out for Juice Gen. It’s actually just so delicious and I feel so satisfied every time I go.

I love the cold pressed hemp milk drink. It’s delicious. Service is always fast and friendly. The store is always clean and smells like veggies and fruit. I love the cold pressed juices, hot soothing drinks, and will try a smoothie on my next visit.

I love me some Juice Generation, but good lord do they not know their way around an Acai bowl. Long before this was a fad on the east coast, acai bowls were(and still are) a staple of the Southern California diet. In fact one of the things I MOST look forward to during my yearly summer pilgrimage is getting an Acai Bowl at Swami’s…and then eating one pretty much every day that I’m there. So imagine my excitement when I found Juice Generation and found that they had Acai bowls, bringing Cali to my door! Unfortunately, every single time I’ve gotten a bowl here they’ve been a watery brown mess– way too much non-milk and way too little fruit. The Acai I’m used to is vibrantly fuchsia, blended with mixed berries and only a tad of non-milk, loaded with bee pollen, sliced bananas, granola, coconut etc etc etc etc and firm almost like a sorbet. The Juice Generation acai bowls toss on a few banana slices and a dusting of coconut flakes you’ll never see because they’re immediately absorbed in all the non-milk and then happily charge you $ 10. I seriously find these bowls so disappointing I’m lowering my review by a whole star. If you’re curious what a great acai bowl(with about 300% more fruit at half the price) should look like, check out the pictures on Swami’s Café in Encinitas, CA.

This place gets five stars because let’s face it, it’s hard to screw up juice. This is actually one of my favorite juice generation locations because it’s roomier and speedy. Take it from me, the best hangover cure is a Vital Shot and a Dr. Bombay hot juice drink.

While I’ve been to this particular Juice Generation, this review is for all Juice Generations. When I first moved to NYC, I thought finding an acai bowl place would be hopeless. Thank god I stumbled upon JG. My first time here, I mistakenly chose the Acai Bowl w/Peanut Butter. BIGMISTAKE. The peanut butter overpowers everything. For some reason I went back and tried the Aloha Acai Bowl and fell in love. I now crave the tart pineapple mixed with the sweet acai berry. I recommend foregoing the bee pollen because it sucks. But the Aloha Acai bowl is heaven on earth.

I am so glad this location opened up! I no longer have to hope that the 72nd St location is not crowded! The super citrus c is my favorite juice for those days I want to skip caffeine(doesn’t happen all that often!) and the Joyful Almond is the most amazing smoothie I have had there. It’s like drinking a milkshake but you can totally supplement a meal with it! Quick note: this is not a sit-down place. Grab your smoothie and go!

I am so glad that this place opened here… the location is fantastic. I occasionally stop in the mornings on my way to the subway. The fruit and veggies they use are always very fresh. I recommend the mango smoothie. I also love how they incorporate coconut into a lot of their smoothies. Delicious!
