This has to be one of my favorite stores in Flushing for buying Korean made food! The ahjumma who works here is the sweetest lady everrrrr!!! They have cheap delicious kimbap, Ddeokbokki(Spicy korean rice cake), Sweet rice cakes, kimchi jars, pajeons(pancakes), and so much more. The price range is really fair and worth it! Often came here after school and the lady is so kind that she would give my friends and I freebies for purchasing food! They sometimes have samples by the register too

Some of the best ddeok in Flushing. Made fresh on the premises(you can see them making it through the window /when you walk in). You can also order specialties if you need for a party or another special occasion. Their side dishes are a bit on the expensive side, but everything else is reasonably priced. You can get gomtang or haejanggook in a plastic container for 6 bucks; the same item is more than double inside their connected restaurant, Kum Gang San. Kimbap is 4 bucks, and ddeokbokki is 3.50 a pound(self-serve and delicious). Plus, the lady cashiers are always nice to me — I ordered ddeok for a party one time and they gave me some free ddeok! I also bought something one time that was 5.39 and she rounded down to just 5 dollars. So there’s that. The place is great.

Great selection of Korean side dishes that Kum Gang San serves! They also have traditional Korean main dishes, kimbap, and different stews. I love coming here for take out. It saves me time and money from eating the same food in Kum Gang San restaurant.

This was opened next door as an extension of Kum Gang San Restaurant. They sell Korean banchan, or side dishes you get at Korean restaurants. I bought crab jang, seafood pancake, odeng, chapchae, rice cakes, and radish kimchi. It’s all delicious but VERY pricey, hence 4*‘s instead of 5*. I would recommend trying and I’ll go back again and buy within a budget.
