Recently relocated to NYC. Received a referral to Dr. Jackson for Primary Care. Made several attempts over the course of 1.5 wks to reach the office and schedule an appointment. Phoned every day M-​F then again daily M-​W the week after. Phoned during the times listed by insurance plan as office hours. No answer. Just VM. If this is an active practice, seems there is no receptionist /​front desk staff. How does she expect to acquire new patients with this outdated approach to managing a business? Guess I will look into other MDs. Requires too much effort to get an appointment scheduled with Dr. Jackson.

Dr Jackson is great. She has been my primary doctor for well over a decade. I followed her from the now closed Cabrini center to her own practice here and there isn’t anyone else I trust with my health. She is personable, engaging and works with you to address your health concerns. She also doesn’t try to force medication on you, she talks with you about lifestyle changes that can improve your conditions and if necessary gives you complete details on medications and their side effects. I choose my healthcare coverage based on what she accepts. I’m never leaving

Dr. Jackson is a warm, direct, and thorough family doctor. She takes care to ask about all the various aspects of my medical history and current state of health. I use a mail-​in pharmacy, and since seeing her, it is so much easier to stay on top of my prescriptions. I feel comfortable asking questions. Her practice is small and her receptionist is very good at her job; I’ve not had issues with my insurance/​billing or with booking appointments.

I recommend Dr. Marilyn Jackson VERY HIGHLY. She has helped keep me in excellent health for the past 5 years or so, always very helpful, always there for me when I need her. I don’t live in NYC but it is well worth it for me to travel in all the way from NJ to the Columbus Circle area of Manhattan to be under Dr. Jackson’s care. Dr. Jackson has an excellent bedside manner — she is kind and caring, while being very professional at the same time. Just one example is that she shows great empathy for my particular fear of needles — she makes it very painless and easy for me to get blood tests, so that I don’t fear them or put them off, like I used to do before I found her. She also has been a flawless diagnostician for me, and always takes the time to explain the issues for me. And what I also appreciate very much is that Dr. Jackson maintains her own office. It is a pleasure not having to go to an impersonal office of partners, or even worse, a clinic or hospital, for care.

Dr. Jackson is great. I’ve been going to her for almost 5 years now. She’s in her own small practice with just her and a receptionist. Her bedside manner is great. Very attentive to what’s going on with her patients and very helpful in assisting towards a solution. Her office hours are pretty flexible too. Love that she has Saturday hours every third Saturday of the month.
