This is an adorable children’s store and living nearby I appreciate the window displays that they change regularly. I recommend them for cute children’s gifts other than clothing. They have adorable stuffed animals that you cannot find anywhere else. Yes it is very expensive.

The store does not give you refunds on your purchases, which in case of kids clothes is terribly unfair, and expensive. Beware

The clothes here are quite nice, but their policies are just pretentious. When you have a newborn, the last thing your thinking is «I really must get to the store to return this item within 30 days of purchase». Even with a gift receipt they would not take the item — no returns, no store credit, nothing but an offer to wrap it so I could regift it! What?!? Why on earth would I give a new mother the gift of one big headache? There are plenty of other great stores in the area. No need to ever return here.

After years of shopping here and spending thousands of dollars on my own children and on gifts, I can honestly say that this store has dropped to a realm below the level of incompetence. Buy their items online but DON’T BOTHER entering the physical space. The staff is difficult, prickly, clueless about their products and has zero customer service skills. For them to follow directions, bring you the right item, retrieve the right size, sell you what you want and not get confused seems beyond their skill set. You will waste your time waiting for them to sell you a basic item. The good news is that given the number of kids stored in Carnegie Hill, it is a very short walk to Baby Cottons, Caramel Baby, Rachel Riley, Bonpoint, Armani, Pink Chicken, Baby CZ or any of the other kids stores basically selling the same item at the same price point.

These sales people are fantastic. I have a feeling that the other reviews are from people who have little understanding of the French culture. They are completely honest about what works and what doesn’t and they leave the ultimate decision to the buyer. They are neither pushy nor snobby… and they love children. I love going to this shop to browse and shop during the sales, since the price is really out of my range. The quality of these clothes is definitely represented in the price and I don’t think it’s overpriced for what you are getting. If you like high quality clothes on the conservative side and can work with the French culture this is the perfect spot to shop(and it helps if you are financially gifted.)

Not so great service. Selection not great either. I love Jacadi but I’d shop online or at another store. I think my quick tip sort of sums this up, but to explain a bit more… My husband and I were told to visit this specific shop because my aunt, who has purchased a few Jacadi outfits for us from here and from Paris, suggested we check it out. Upon walking in, we were greeted pretty well, but it was all downhill from there. I was meaning to pick up some of the non-sale items, but I wanted to check out the last days of their sale too. So, I asked where the sale section was. After that, they weren’t very nice. They just pointed me in the direction of the sale. I noticed other people coming in asking for the sale items and they were all greeted and treated well. Maybe they just didn’t like me and my husband? Needless to say, I’ll go to a different Jacadi store. This one was meh.

Yeah… just another place to remind how broke you are. I couldn’t even afford a pair of socks. Cute, overpriced; not worth it.
