Intoxicake NYC

This review is long overdue. I ordered (3) dozen holiday-​themed cupcakes & required an extreme turnaround time. Ashleigh & her team went above and beyond accommodating my last minute order for my holiday party. I ordered the Rudolph the Red-​Nosed Velvet, Santa’s Cookies n Spiked Milk, and Snowman’s Vanilla Melt cupcakes — which were all baked (filled with liquor) to perfection. Intoxicake, during the holiday season, was a mobile service but the service was phenomenal & the team was very accommodating. I highly recommend!

NOTE: Intoxicake is not actually a store in NYC. They utilize other bakeries in the area so do not go looking for them in Union Sq because they do not exist down there.
I had possibly the worst cupcake/​Customer service experience with Intoxicake. I had followed the company on twitter because of their unique concept and ordered 12 birthday cake pops for my co-​workers birthday. After placing the order online i received an e-​mail confirmation from Stephanie and confirmed that I was to pick these cupcakes up that Sunday at their NYC location in Union Square.
I arrived in union square on that Sunday only to find there was no storefront there. I called their help line 3 times until I got an answer from Rebecca. I spoke with her and she apologized for the inconvenience and let me know that they would offer free delivery to my office the next day at noon.
I waited until 2 PM the following day, since deliveries can run late in NYC, until I called to inquire about my cupcakes. My call was unanswered so I went to twitter and tweeted the company. They responded immediately saying that my order was on its way and they apologized AGAIN for the inconvenience.
The order showed up at 4 PM and it was the wrong order. They had given me 6 regular cupcakes and 6 red velvet cupcakes. I had chalked it up for a loss and gave the cupcakes to my co worker. I sent out another angry tweet about the wrong order being late and received another response.
«So Sorry for the wrong order, e-​mail us for a free party platter». That seemed like great customer service to me so I emailed and they asked me when I wanted the party platter delivered. I decided on that Friday so my co –workers and I could enjoy them and Rebecca, again, confirmed.
To say the least my party platter never came even though I reached out twice again via e-​mail. My account was charged the full amount for the cake pops and delivery. This company needs to get their communication down with their consumers who are trying very hard to enjoy their product.
Speaking of the product, the cupcakes themselves looks like they bought them at the local grocery store and soaked them in cheap vodka. They weren’t enjoyable in the least.

Love these cupcakes! Got some for my birthday and they looked and tasted amazing! I recommend the long island red velvet cupcakes
