My first time here in Little Italy, We decided to come to this restaurant and ordered the lunch special for $ 14.95& including salad & dessert. I ordered egg plant perm, Salad, Gelado. I was very satisfied with the service, food was awesome !! They also was prompt on the service and understanding with having ordered with the drinks were flat! I give then a 5 star !!

Terrible food. Horrible, unprofessional, and unacceptable service all around. Waitresses yelling at each other; bringing food to the wrong tables, taking forever to take your order and then forgetting it two minutes later. Meals are sometimes brought out by the man serving water, not knowing which tables the meals are for, walking around with the plates table to table. Thought I’d try something new on this street but I’ll stick to my tried and true faves. Close this place down!

I thought it was a bit pricey for the amount of food but I have to say that the pizza and the calamari we had was very good. I didn’t however like the unsweetened ice tea but our waitress replaced it with a soda.

Food is just okay. Ate here with my fiancée and a friend and we were less than thrilled with the food. Got simple plates, which should be easy to nail(rigatoni a la vodka, shrimp fettuccine alfredo) but they were just not flavorful. Apps were also just okay. I doubt I’ll ever come back here.

When we first walk in, they said their credit card machine was broken. Then we ask if they accept 100 dollar bill, they make a joke about it. They said only if that was real. I get it, they try to be funny or so. But with their face expression and body language, I can tell they are being mean. Idk, cause we are Asian? Me and my mom set there for 20 minutes, nobody come to greet us, or even a glass of water. Food was so average, I can’t remember any of the tastes. One more thing, I ordered a glass of red wine for my mom. They can even give us a wine glass. How difficult is that? Any respect to your customer?

Our group of 4 decided to eat our way around Manhattan by getting snacks and small portions at various places throughout the day. This was one of our stops. This place was good enough that we sort of wished we have eaten a full meal here. That wasn’t in the cards with our game plan, but what we had was excellent. We tried 4 of the appetizers and shared a carafe of red wine. The food was fresh and well made. The service was a little standoff-ish, but that never bothers us. I’d rather that than someone who hovers over you. If that’s your thing, you’ll be waving them over a lot. We enjoyed our time here very much and it was a wonderful and reasonably priced stop on our tour. The bathrooms required a master’s degree in contortionism and the sinks are bizarre. My wife is a very thin person and the better part of a foot shorter than I am. Even she commented on the tightness of the room.

Wandered by looking for a good but not crazy expensive dinner in Little Italy. This place had some good reviews on Unilocal plus a good review from a few people walking out. Didn’t disappoint — service was great even though a large party had just walked in. Bread great right from pizza oven with a good oil. Nice house red. Had the parpadalle bolognese which was excellent and the stuffed artichoke app. Recommend highly Only negative — since small and a cold night when door opens gets cold. A lot of people eating with coats on

I HIGHYDONOTRECOMMENDEDTHISPLACE! There was nobody there to seat us when we first got in, we had to seat ourselves, my friends and I had to wait well over thirty minutes for our food to be served, and the staff members were unclear with the lunch specials! Let alone the mini salads took them around 20 mins to make! Hate hate hate this trash of a place! Do yourself a favor and take yourself to the many other Italian restaurants in Little Italy! Anywhere is better then this dump.(Can I give it zero stars?)

This is a Zagat rated(2014) restaurant in Little Italy. As an Italian and a pizza snob, I was very happy with the Margherita personal size I ordered. Lots of fresh mozzarella and good flavor in the tomato sauce. The dough was very good, savory, chewy, and thin but also substantial enough to get a really good tasting bite. Service was good — cordial, not in your face, and respectful. Great find that made my day!

Okay I usually read the reviews before trying out a new restaurant and this is the first time we decided not to go off the reviews — that was my first mistake. As soon as we were seated I already knew service was going to be bad based off the fact that it took them forever to get us water. There was also only one waitress working at least 10 tables. It took forever to get our food which was mediocre in taste. Our appetizer was just okay. It took forever to get our entrée. Right when we told them to cancel our entrée it came right up but the pasta was not cooked well and the sauce was watery. Furthermore, they had run out of espresso so the hostess went next door to another Italian restaurant and had gotten them to make the espresso. The waitress tried to pull it off like the espresso was theirs when in fact they got it from the restaurant next door. I’m giving this place 2 starts because the waitress tried to make it up to us and didn’t charge us for the appetizer. I’m very disappointed and am surprisingly that it got a Zagat award.

Food was«Average» at best! Daily Special Salad was good but the pizza was something you would expect outside of Little Italy NYC not in Little Italy. Service was extremely slow and inattentive. Atmosphere was not what I or We would consider an authentic or even creative effort for what I would expect from Little Italy. Overall…Disappointment!

Food was beyond ordinary. Pizza was alright, nothing special. The fettuccine was edible. I was starving, I ate almost all of it so I can’t complain too much. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria which was about $ 18 I believe but it was the tiniest pitcher I have ever seen. Imagine a regular size pitcher, now cut that in half. The only fruits inside were tiny pieces of apples. The service was good. The interior looked cheap and maybe not the cleanest place. I definitely would not return, but you get what you pay for!

I will only give a three stars for the reason the we food was good enough for the three stars and the interior design. On the other hand, service was below average. We ask the waitress if the dish we were ordering was a tomato based, and we were told it wasn’t, when we got it, it was a dish that the main sauce was a tomato based. And we didnt even get an apology, we only got an“ops, i didnt know“ We, order pasta dishes that normally its accompanied with some bread or toast, its an Italian restaurant, bread is essential.

We stopped in for light fare and wine The house wine was $ 12 for ½ carafe(white or red), that gives you about the equivalent of 1 ½ glasses of a good wine. Pizza Our table shared the margherita brick oven pizza. Pizza was great– but a little on the small size for the price. Very fresh ingredients. Arroncini Balls I must attest– after Tangled Vine Arroncini balls last week– the bar has been set. These rice balls were the size of baseballs and they come out on a bed of greens in a pair. They were crisp and delectable on the outside– non greasy. The inside was sweet peas, rice, and pancetta bits. It came with a large cream marina sauce for dipping. I recommend this starter– very good. Cheese Platter The only thing that could have improved this platter would have been a better wine selection. The cheese ranged from dry sheeps milk and Parmesan type cheeses to creamy French Brie like cheeses– excellent! The platter included perfectly sweetened green grapes, which came in a small tasty bunch. There were a few slices of Granny Smith apples that paired well with each cheese. If for no other reason order this to sample the homemade fig– a 10! Sweet and tangy and one portion included nuts. Service was top notch. Overall– good, not great– worth a try!

We didn’t come to Little Italy for lunch intentionally, but we walked down Mulberry and saw the brick oven pizza sign above Il piccolo. The entire façade was open, with hanging flowers and vines and the host outside was sweet. It was a bit early, so we were the only party there. The interior is simple exposed brick with a replica statue of David in the corner, so if you’re shy be sure to face towards the front of the restaurant hehe. We ordered the garlic focaccia, Margherita pizza, and the tortellini soup. The focaccia and pizza were both so delicious and didn’t stay on the table long. The soup took a bit longer to come out, and was pretty good although the tortellini were a bit too al dente. Service was friendly, prices were great, and the open storefront with the flowers made for a beautiful atmosphere on a warm, sunny day. I’d definitely come back for the pizza!

Ansprechendes italienisches Lokal in Little Italy mit freundlichem, tatsächlich italienischem Personal. Lecker Pizza und guter Rotwein, preis-Leistung in Ordnung, Abzug gibt’s, weil ein wenig mehr italienische Stimmung(Musik) hätte es perfekt gemacht!
