I ordered 2 billy bookshelves. The cost was $ 150, the delivery was over $ 100. A full week before the delivery date I called to add something to the order and was told that this is not possible because of the«particular state» the order is in. It’s already on a truck it seems. From Brooklyn to Manhattan? Or is my bookshelf traveling cross-country with a few sightseeing stops along the way? Every other place I ever ordered from can do things better than that! And it’s not even here yet, so who knows what surprises are still waiting!

I had to schedule multiple appts with multiple sub contractors due to this company’s inattention to detail and poor logistics. Some of the people who showed up(or in other cases, didn’t show up) were just awful, and the company did nothing to reimburse me for lost time or damage. There were people who just didn’t show up, who came hours late, who brought only some of the items, who caused damage in my home. One of the sub-contractors they sent stole money from me, promising to return to finish a job and never did. After a few attempts to reschedule a re-delivery of an item that was never brought, Handy finally just refunded the money and said they wouldn’t be delivering or assembling that item, because it was just too much hassle for them. If I’d known how much of a nightmare this would be, I would have never gone anywhere near them. You’ve been warned.

Handy’s IKEA delivery & assembly service was fantastic! The experience purchasing from IKEA is the absolute worst. Long lines, out of stock items and heavy lifting never makes for a pleasant Sunday. Handy makes it so easy to purchase and schedule delivery/assembly of IKEA furniture. My roommate and I purchased 2 beds and nightstands from them. They came the next day and were done with the setup in less than 30 minutes. Great, great experience.
