First things first: the unusably cracked iPhone 5 screen that I thought was going to start having glass splinters if it didn’t get fixed soon came out of the process looking brand-​new (or as brand-​new as an iPhone 5 can look when one is surrounded by iPhone 6 users…). Second things second: John was super-​nice, very efficient, and will do the repair while you watch (if you’re like me, amend that to read «while you watch TRANSFIXED» — you know, because watching someone use tiny screwdrivers and other weird tools and seeing the guts of a smartphone is fun!). Definitely, unreservedly, recommend him. He’ll come to you to do the repair, which is super convenient.

The only time you should use them is if dropped a newly purchased phone and have no insurance. Otherwise use your insurance cause your deductible is about the same price they charge to replace just a screen, even if the screen is not cracked.
