Dorris is such a sweatheart and a genius when it comes to hair. From the moment the appointment started she was attentive to what i wanted and really invested in giving me the perfect cut, even encouraging me to mix it up and try some new front bangs without being pushy at all. I had gotten a cut from her once about 6 months prior to my last visit and after all that time she remembered me! As a college girl, I must say that my cut although not cheap, was worth every penny. Dorris was also very honest and told me right away what everything would cost which was a huge comfort. I will definitely be returning to iSalon again!

Doris is excellent and will go to great lengths to make sure you are satisfied. I come here for coloring and keratin and would not think of going anywhere else!

I have curly, frizzy hair, especially in my front forehead. It takes a long time for me to straighten my hair after shower, and my hair become extremely dry due to the heat of flat iron. I cannot take it anymore, so I decided to do Japanese perm. The whole process took 3.5 hours, Doris (the owner) is very attentive taking care of my hair and she did a great job. My hair was silky smooth after the process and I can immediately tell the difference. The next day everyone in my office notice my hair and I received good compliment. Most importantly, it saves time and I do not need to spend hour blow drying and straightening my hair. I am happy that I invested in Japanese Perm to save time and money.

I have been to ISalon twice now, and have gotten my hair cut, highlighted, and keratin treatment done. I came here since it is close to my office and a coworker suggested it, and I’m so glad I did! Doris, the salon owner is one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met. She truly listens to her clients in what they want with their hair, and offers her expertise to enhance what you’re already asking for. She is very loyal to her clients, and makes you feel like family when you are there. ISalon’s prices are very affordable by typical Manhattan standards, which is hard to find. Would highly recommend Doris for anything you need for your hair!

Came in to get a blow out, as their sign specially mentioned them. As I walked in the girl at the front called the guy who’s supposed to give me the blow out, I guess it was a sign… she washed my hair and after that started blow drying herself — I’m not one to make a fuss but it was so horrible, it was obvious she doesn’t know what she’s doing, my hair grew bigger and bigger and was a ball of frizz! so I stopped her and asked what happened to the other guy, apparently he cancelled as she was washing my hair — ahhh, ok.
At that point the wonderful stylist there saved the day and took over. He wouldn’t tell me his name and said he, s only a temp but I couldn’t thank him enough. He did a great job, but next time just say you’re not available for a walk-​in.

100% RECOMMEND! I have gotten a hair cut/​style and keratin treatment here and I’m so appreciative. Ask for Doris! She is amazing – so caring, listens to what you want, and does a fabulous job. This place is great and is inexpensive. Three of my friends and I come here for hair cuts and are consistently thrilled with our results. TRY IT! YOU’LL IT!

I wrote a review for this place previously while Doris was doing my hair but the ombré actually turned out horrible.
Customer service is great and Doris is a great person, but ombré and highlighting are not their specialties. Although Doris did leave the shop open for us 4 hours after they closed, my ombré turned out awful! It was one of those «ombres gone bad» examples that I never thought I’d experience. My friend also got her hair highlighted but the colors are just off and it looks like highlights from the 90s.
I appreciate that Doris tried to give us nice highlights and ombré but it turned out awful, awful. She tried to fix it the next day but I don’t think she understood because she just added black streaks to the hair which left it looking the same.
