Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would Unilocal about a dentist. But, here it is. This place is just about perfect. The office itself is spotlessly clean. Seriously, while sitting in the chair I had lots of time to inspect the ceiling, and even that was gleaming white. The front desk staff were courteous and efficient(and friendly!), as was every other person I encountered(radiologist, hygienist, and the Dr. Babushkin himself). It was the most pleasant, most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had — and the surprise at the end was that my insurance covered everything — including the things that the hygienist warned me may not be.(vs. the opposite which I’ve experienced plenty of times) And, I thought the dentist we had when we were on the left coast was amazingly high-tech — but that Beverly Hills doctor has nothing on this place. Everything was cutting edge technology. I will be back. In six months actually.

This is the worst dental office I have ever experienced. The equipment is unclean, the doctor aloof and rushed, and the front desk staff has the IQ, collectively, of a gerbil. Please please heed this advice and find yourself a reputable dental office. I sure wish I had.

dr babuskin is my life. when i was growing up, i went to a dentist on 40th street who would clean my teeth, fill a cavity or two, and tell me to floss more. sounds pretty normal, right? one day he finally confronted me and said«i can’t do this anymore– the work you need is beyond what i can do» what? turns out i had a cavity in almost EVERY tooth. it’s something that could have been prevented if someone had told my parents about it years before, but he had kept it silent as to not lose a patient. i began going to my fathers’ dentist, dr babushkin, and he was utterly shocked to see a 14 year old girl with the extensive amount of work i needed. most dentists would have run screaming(a few did), but dr b was willing to take it one tooth at a time and save my mouth. i saw him once a week for three months and he fixed every single tooth– veneers, cavities, root canals, you name it. it’s been over 5 years now and i haven’t had a single cavity. the only work i’ve needed was a mis-filled cavity that– guess who?– my old dentist had done. dr b recently moved to a gorgeous office and it’s now really hard to get an appointment with him. he deserves it, though– he is not just a great dentist, but an amazingly sweet man. edited to add: his new practice is on Unilocal,it’s called manhattan oasis dentistry–
