A great doctor. Always listens. always compassionate. Always makes time.

He tries to deal with preventive topics, which is good. However, he has the rudest, most inefficient office staff imaginable. They sit in an area openly connected to the waiting room and speak about patients’ lab and x-rays or scan results, so that anyone in the waiting room can hear the names and results, even abnormal results, such as a brain scan. There is no privacy. He takes Medicare and cash. I would not waste my money again on going to him, as it was over $ 500 to be treated very rudely by the staff there.

This guy is really good. Went to him due to a bad injury and he made me feel at ease immediately. Wasn’t stern or disconcerting in any which way. He is one of the best physicians of NYC rated by NY Times. I think I will be going only to him from here on out.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Horbar’s for 20 years + and can only rave about him. He’s treated many family and friends and all have the same enthused opinion. My only gripe is that he doesn’t do email. His rationale is that he wants to always talk to his patients, so he cannot be faulted for that. He is connected to Lenox Hill Hospital on 77th& Lexington, so that makes it convenient for us who live in the UES.
