Very delightful shop! The barista was so sweet. Offered to show us magic tricks and very friendly.

Good enough-and the iced lemonade with matcha green tea sets it apart from the usual coffee shops which abound in NYC. The prices are fair and the people pleasant. And you can sit and rest a spell before going next door to my favorite pastry shop, Venieros or two doors down to the best selling pasta in town: Russos.

I was just looking for a bit of caffeine, and came to Honeyhaus because of the reviews. Glad I did! Andre pulled me the perfect espresso shot– not bitter or burnt, easier said than done!

Great coffee shop — friendly, has two tables, some benches and dough donuts! Have standard coffee menu and a matcha list, though matcha flavour is not strong. Good to work in as its relatively quiet, but keep in mind no plugs/bathroom

Super nice staffer at this business who participates in the Cups app. The $ 3 danish was solid, flakier than most and not your standard issue. Doughnut/Danish $ 3.00 Total $ 3.00

A lovely coffee shop! Simple, yet artistic and offers an array of delicious coffee beverages and tasty pastry treats. The iced coffee I ordered to go was excellent — very smooth, and does not have that bite that a lot of iced coffees do. Service was fast and efficient, just a couple coveted seats were available in the front of the shop.

Really, really great coffee in a small but well-designed space. Ive tried the house drip, the cortado, and the cold brew and all are totally delicious. They also have Dough doughnuts. The proprietor is genuinely friendly and knows his stuff. A must visit in the East Village.

Cute café in East Village. I ordered their cinnamon chamomile tea, which was okay. They have a good selection of matcha drinks that I def want to try next time. Not much seating available here(only a couple benches), but a cool place to grab a drink and go.

I knew I would like honeyhaus when I got a drip coffee and they were serving an Ethiopian/Guatamalan blend that was perfectly roasted, smooth and bright. We were renting an Airbnb apartment right next door so this was my neighborhood coffee shop for a few days. Through our stay, we had a number of lattés and other coffees and they were all good. The lattés are not huge, maybe 12 oz. The barista was always friendly and recognized me after my first visit. It’s not a huge place, a couple of stools and a bench inside, a bench outside. They do have wifi. All is good at honeyhaus.

I came to specifically order the iced matcha latte but was disappointed :(I’m not sure if it was the fact that I ordered it with soy milk instead of regular milk, but the milk was way overpowering so that I could barely taste the matcha.

Nice neighborhood coffee shop. They serve counter culture coffee, matcha lattes, and dough donuts. Barista is very friendly and welcoming. Will stop by again soon!

Real deal matcha here, you guys! No sugar added, but they do offer some simple syrup that you can add yourself to your liking. They have a nice selection of freshly made donuts — I went with the hibiscus. The donut itself is quite fluffy with a nice sweet flower-y hibiscus icing. Owner is super kind and friendly, engaging in conversation just the right amount. The interior space is quite small, so it’s perfect for a quick 10 minute pit stop at the small counter next to the front window, but not for doing work for a few hours.

Alright, I guess. We stopped by because it was the closest coffee shop to Veniero’s that was also a partner of the Cups app, and we really really needed a jolt of caffeine. On first glance, it’s a super cute little coffee shop with simple, minimalistic décor. I ordered a LARGE vanilla latte, but ended up getting a small(?). I was confused because on the Cups app there are different sizes listed for the vanilla latte, but on their overhead menu, there is only ONE size which can be either hot or cold(for different prices). I was not a fan of the particular vanilla syrup they used. It was way too sweet — even sweeter than Starbuck’s syrup — and that is saying a lot! And it tasted really artificial. I might wander back if I’m in the area, but I definitely would not go out of my way to come back here!

Nice little spot with friendly baristas. I was looking for a coffee shop to sit with my laptop one evening, and though Honeyhaus is(very) small, it suited my needs perfectly. I didn’t try the coffee(Counter Culture is great in general, though), but was impressed by the tea selection. They have a couple different matcha drinks, and a nice variety of looseleaf tea. I had pumpkin spice tea — yum! Prices are pretty good, too. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, just what I needed. As others have said, it is super small, so not the best choice to come and stay with a group. But the barista is friendly enough that who needs to come with friends? :)

Walked into this small shop in the east village on a Sunday afternoon. It’s very small, with a bench outside and a couple of stools inside. It’s got a great vibe, cool music, really nice barista. I had a great cappuccino, but next time I stop by I want to try the cold brew. I was disappointed that the donuts were sold out, but you can always stop by at Viniero’s next door if you’re looking for a little sweetness with your coffee.

Randomly stumbled upon this quaint little café in East Village one day and decided to pop in for a little. They sell Dough donuts here, but be sure to get there earlier in the day if you want one. They were sold out when I went): Other than that, the people who work there are really nice and friendly!

Honey Haus NY Manhattan East Village 4pm Saturday 14th February 2015 Three Stars This is a rather small coffee shop. They serve counter culture coffee. I had a Cortado($ 3.50) to stay. The espresso was dry, dark, and slightly acidic. The milk/foam was a bit thin and they lose points for design. There was a chalk board outside advertising doughnuts but no pastry of any kind appeared in the display case. The down tempo jazz music playing was rather relaxing but there are only two benches, a two stool counter, and complete void of tables.

I really wanted to like Honeyhaus after reading all the positive reviews and seeing it’s tea-centric menu. However, it did not live up to my expectations. We got a chai latte and a matcha latte, and both just tasted so weird. I can’t put my finger on it but a large part was an oddly salty taste in both. I’m a huge tea fan and actually enjoy matcha(which is an acquired taste), but this matcha was not palatable. It didn’t help that it was quite pricy. For the tea lattes, which come in a size similar to the tall at Starbucks, the total was almost $ 10.

Had a great pour over: medium-light roast with a touch of sweetness. Cold brew: so delicious. Flavorful and refreshing Today they had a variety of DOUGH doughnuts. Yumm. I may have a slight obsession. Super healthy. The owners seem chill and friendly. No full out space to set up camp; just a good olé small coffee shop with a few benches/stools. So far so good
