This place is a little wild. Loud music, drinking and it stays open late. But the staff is nice and efficient. If you have tough to manage hair, whether it be thick and straight, curly and frizzy, or coarse, ask for Herminia. She’s been blowing my super curly hair straight since I was 15 and I was able to stop doing relaxers cause of her.

Was actually looking for another salon when I found this one. I had a bad case of the frizzies and was in desperate need of a wash-​n-​set + blowout. I got it. Tita in Salon Unisex can definitely work a round brush! thanks to her, my hair was clean, conditioned, detangled, set, and blown silky smooth in less than 2-​hours. Thank you Tita!
By the way, I believe the Salon has moved up to 146th & Broadway.
