The food for the price isn’t good… I like in Ohio so I expected NYC wings not to be the same in price or quality. The beer was was very good and the staff was very fast. The patrons were world class met a dude from Columbia who was waiting on a Tender date and a few feet away there was a redheaded drunk chic running her mouth about HERSELF!!! The place was cool but go for the beer and not the food so much

I have got enough of this place already. 2 weeks ago they said we can come in, the bar is open and within next 5 minutes, they locked the door leaving us out waiting for our friend. Tonight we got here and seated by the hostess very quick however no one came up to our table for 15 minutes. Come on! It is 21.45 already and I can’t wait for you to come and tell me that the kitchen is closed as if I was not on time. No 3rd chance! Don’t waste your time and money!

Cool bar right on the bottom of the Emire state building. We did not eat here however the bartender, Abier, makes one of the BEST bloodies I have ever had. Stop in and have one before heading to the top of the Empire State!

I used to come here a lot a couple of years ago. Today was the first day in a long time I went to this place and my overall experience has«MEHH». Friday afternoon 12:00pm. PROS: –Décor/ambiance — I love the open space, tall ceilings, interesting looking chandeliers. –REALLY nice & attentive staff –Not too busy around this time CONS: –Expensive — my friend and I both ordered chicken fingers with fries and 1 Coke & water. The bill came out to $ 47. REALLY?! –Mediocre food– chicken fingers were chewy & bland. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Fries were ok.

This has been a regular meeting place with a friend for events at the grad center. Their deserts are lousy but the food is OK, but a good location. The service today was so appalling I will never return. I arrived about 5 minutes before my friend(she was at 38th and 5th – 4 short blocks away). Even though the upstairs was less than half-full(the downstairs was closed), the hostess refused to seat me because we weren’t a complete party. I told her I’m pregnant and my feet hurt and she said I could buy a drink and sit at the bar. Refusing to seat a pregnant lady unless she buys a drink? I’ve been going there for many years, but that level of service is appalling.

We are here twice and it was good both times. We also just happen to have the same server, Rafael, who was great too.

The food here is overpriced and horrible. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my friend had calamari. Both dishes were extra salty and neither one of us ate our food. The drinks were also overpriced. The drinks had too much ice and very little alcohol. This will be my first and last time dining at this establishment.

I ordered the buffalo burger it was good, they said the bleu cheese and buffalo sauce was inside the patty. I didn’t see it though. It was still good, but didn’t wow me. The service was okay, my friends ordered a steak burger and he didn’t even ask me or my friends how we wanted our burger meat done(medium well, well done etc). Overall it’s a nice place to eat, the food was good but the service could’ve been better.

Fantastic brewery in the heart of midtown. Right under the Empire State Building. They have a Union Square location, and one near South Street Seaport. I’ve been coming here for years, and haven’t had a poor experience. Last visit I tried the teriyaki salmon with sticky rice and loved it. Nachos are good as well. The seasonal beers are always a good bet. Their downstairs area is gigantic! Plenty of space for big or small groups.

Worst meal so far while on trip with family. Did the whole Empire State Building observatory thing and figured this place looked busy so it should be good. Also, been to lots of brewery spots back home and the«simple» food is usually very good. I mean, it’s hard not to make a decent burger. My fried chicken sandwich was ok. Honestly, I think the one at McDonalds is better. Fries were good, but at $ 15, not much of a value. Wife’s fish in her fish and chips needed another 90 seconds in the fryer so we sent it back. Frankly, it should have been comped since it took 15 minutes to come back, but hey we’re on vacation so I let it slide. Best thing they had was the Caesar salad my daughter had. I don’t give 2 star reviews very often, but for $ 55 for the three of us, this was a disappointment.

I give a 3 star for the service but a 5 star for the experience, so I split the difference. Now that that is out the way I can explain. Son & I came here before we were to go visit The Empire State Bldg. He was excited because he had never been so he wanted to stop for a drink before we went up. We sat at the bar next to a young couple. Son asked dude what he was drinking & he said(In a Heavy Irish Accent) Indiana Pale Ale it’s good here taste it & hands the glass to my son. It was good. Come to find out dude & Lady were here on their Honeymoon from Belfast, Ireland! So I order the Indiana Pale Ale & a shot of Avion Tequila which I really enjoyed. Very smooth & warming. Son ordered Grey Goose & Pineapple Juice. Then 2 sisters show up & son buys a round of shots of some stuff the bartender Sunny reccommended. Apple something… not to our liking or to the couple but the sisters liked it. It’s about 1:30 now & we all had another round, laughed, talked got to know each other & decided to meet up at some bar later for trivia night. I said we’d go IF we were still here. Needless to say we didn’t make it up to the Empire State Bldg at that moment. But the drinks were good. The service slow & haphazard. We had to keep trying to get the bartenders attention until finally a guy, maybe another bartender came to help us out. It wasn’t that crowded & there were several seats open at the bar. So I’m not sure what happened. I’d go back for drinks but probably not stay long. The company we met made the experience fun.

Meh… I came here recently while on a little trip with my husbands family. We were nearby for them to see the Empire State building for the first time(their first time to NY). Since I had already been to the Empire State Building and was quite hungry, I let them do the tour, while I decided to stop here and grab something to eat. I had a drink here once before when we first visited, and was impressed with the overall restaurant ambiance; hence the reason why I was curious to actually dine here. I was seated fairly quickly at a table close to the bar area. It was perfect for me. My server was a little dull from the beginning, but nothing horrendous. I started with a dirty martini for my drink. It was made perfect :) They have a delicious sounding menu, with plenty of hearty sounding options. I ended up ordering one of their Heartland Ground Beef Burger. It does not come with cheese, so I added Swiss cheese I believe. It also comes with fry’s, however I opted out for a salad instead. Burger arrived looking less than spectacular. Taste wise, it was certainly average at best — decent sized patty, but nothing special. Salad also looked a little lifeless– didn’t really touch it. Overall, I would possibly stop in again for a drink, but can’t say I would be eager to order any food.

This was a pretty cool spot! The ambience and atmosphere were cozy and intimate. Some girlfriends and I came here for dinner and I was happy with the menu selection. Prices weren’t too bad for New York City and I was able to get something how I wanted it to be. I ordered grilled chicken plain. I also asked about the check in free dessert, which is cheesecake but I’m lactose intolerant so I can’t eat it so they gave me something else. The reason why the review is getting 4⁄5 stars is because the server really could’ve been more pleasant. You’re waiting on younger women, the least you could do is put a smile on or try to work harder for a tip. He just seemed like he wanted us in and out, didn’t try to upsell us either.

I’ve been meaning to try this spot since it’s so close to work and I was finally able to with coworkers when the line for Chik-fil-A was too long. :) The space is huge with even more seating downstairs, which I find preferable. I split the buffalo wings and chicken tenders and both were good but not great, as expected of a touristy spot like this. I just think the food is really overpriced for what it is but this IS located at the base of the Empire State Building.

Very touristy brewery in the city. I mean, it’s inside the Empire State building. The venue is nice and staff is decent. The low rating is for the beer. To classify yourself as a brewery, your beer has to be decent and I was left unimpressed. The IPA lacked crispness, the beer comes out chilled, but not enough. It warmed up quickly. The pilsner tasted like water. Bathroom is downstairs. Plenty of TVs to watch sports.

Stopped by here after going to the Empire State Building to check out the brewery and its beers. It was easy to get seats downstairs and the place is well decorated. Just be ready to shell out $ 20+ for a plate of food and $ 8 for a pint. Prices are not surprising since it’s right in the middle of town/next to tourist spots. Okay place to just stop for a beer. Lots of other great places to eat around the brewery.

Tourist trap! My fiancé likes to come here a lot to meet his ex-coworkers and catch up since it’s close to our apartment. Usually, we head straight to the bar downstairs to eat. There are decent selection of beers and bar food on the menu. I love, love their nachos, but $ 15 for nachos on the appetizer menu is f*in expensive. The wings and fried calamaris are also pretty good. Their food isn’t bad, but the price is crazy. They get so much traffic from the tourist(probably enough to pay the rent to their restaurant and make loads of money). For those beer lovers, 33rd street between Madison Ave all the way to Penn Station, are lined up with bars. I suggest you go there.

Decent brew and grub. Worth coming here before or after the Empire State Building. Try any of the seasonal beers(like the raspberry ale) or the shrimp tacos and you’re all set. Place is surprisingly large and accommodating to large groups. Will come again.
