My daughter Olga has therapy sessions in Ilya’s office for more than a year already… She was injured in car accident more than two years ago. As a result my daughter has severe legs and hands spasticity and could not perform most of motor activities such as sitting, reaching, walking. We were lucky to find Ilya, it is very hard to find a therapist who knows rehabilitation technique for people after brain injury or stroke. Ilya created special program for Olga, tried all equipment he had in the office and even bought some additional tools. He started with teaching Olga hold her back and be able to sit in regular chair(special wheelchair was only option for her at that time). Now Olga does bicycle for legs and hands, standing on her knees and the next step Ilia are working on, is training Olga standing on her feet. Ilya put many hours and hard work to get my daughter to the condition she is now. DO not forget about fights with insurance company he had, to get permissions for more PT sessions for Olga. He is doing everything to get my daughter to walk again… Ilya is very professional, very caring physical therapist. I see him as a personal trainer to all of his patients, because every patient has its own set of exercises which works best for a patient.

First off, I have never been a patient of Ilya’s, mainly because I have never needed a physical therapist. If I ever did, however, Ilya Perloff would be my first choice. My mother, on the other hand, was a patient of his for a little over two months, and because she does not know the first thing about a computer, I will be writing this review on her behalf. During our vacation this June, my mom injured something in her leg. Having already had Dr. Irene Perloff as a Primary Care Physician for many years, her son’s next door physical therapy practice was somewhat of an obvious choice, but we weren’t expecting anything outstanding. My mom is an active woman and not being able to stand on her own two feet was really getting her down. Ilya(I should mention that all of his patients call him by his first name), was able to make her pain bearable again. At least, to the point where she was able to go about her daily routine with a relative amount of ease, and that was only two weeks in. After about a month she was off of her cane and three weeks after that, she was basically back to normal. Ok, I realize this might come off as a testimonial, but the thing is, I never write reviews unless I have something really good or really bad to say about the business, and this guy deserves to get his name out there, because the results aren’t the only thing I liked about him. He explained everything in a lot of depth. At one point, I though he would NEVER stop talking, but it was better than waiting for my mom in silence. When the office cleared out and my mom was the only patient left, he gave me a free ride in his massage chair to make waiting for her a little more fun. Anyways, I digress. Ilya Perloff is the type of person that you either love or hate, and he’s probably the coolest doc I’ve ever met.
