Not necessarily a destination restaurant, but if you’re in the neighborhood for some unknown reason anyhow, definitely worth stopping in for a drink and the remnents of a ‘schnack’. First of all, you’re on an actual sandy beach, on the eastern shore of the East River, so kick off your footgear and relax(O.K., so it has to be summer-like weather). But it was, at the Unilocal’s a Beach mid-August event, and these comments are based on being in the midst of several hundred other Unilocalers, but the food is probably even better when you’re there on your own. In any case, Harry’s Hamburgers are worth a detour, real meaty and tasty. The pulled pork was so delicious that it didn’t need any extra spicing, and the addition af some of the ‘schnack’ slaw made it even more inviting. Wash it all down with some Tanteo Jalapeño/Lemon Margaritas, which hopefully they serve during normal business hours. Why not a 5? The pototo salad was a little mushy, the grilled chicken a little tasteless, and they ran out of Hary’s Hamburgers before the party was over. I guess us Unilocalers have good taste!
