David, it has been months and you have not returned any emails. You still have two of our hard drives(my external and the one from Donna’s MacBook Pro). Donna and I have called you numerous times and still haven’t gotten a response. You still have your phone set up to block any voicemail. DAVID, PLEASEANSWERWHEN I CALL(the number with the 508 area code is mine).

I have been a client of Dave’s for over 4 years, he’s more than reasonable and very professional. He has always honored his word and even remembers my wish list of mac items, that I already forgot I needed but he reminds me that he’s still looking for those items. You’ll never go wrong with Dave, just be patient. after all, he is the whole show. Big companies do the same for but for 4 times the price. You’ll save lots of $$$$.

I needed a new power adapter for my Powerbook G4, and not wanting to pay Apple Store prices, I gave the Harlem Apple Store a call. I couldn’t get through to anyone the day I called, but got a call back the following day from David(I assume – he didn’t give me his name). I asked him exactly where he was located, and he said he was uptown for most of the afternoon but would be in midtown later on, and that we could meet there. He seemed unsure of his exact schedule, so we agreed I’d call him in an hour or so to set up something. When I did call, he said he’d be in the Bryant Park area(no exact location specified) between 3 and 4 that day, and again didn’t seem keen on making a clear plan to meet me. I said I’d call around then, and he mentioned that he had my number and would give me a call if he hadn’t heard from me. Needless to say, we never connected. David(or whomever I spoke with), if you’re reading this, sorry for the negative review. I was really hoping to buy the adapter from you because of all the good things I’d heard and the possibility of saving some $$ over Apple prices. But after two hours of wandering around Bryant Park, trying your phone(the mailbox was full), and never receiving any kind of follow-up call, I didn’t really feel like I’d been treated professionally.

Somebody stepped on my macbook a while ago and broke the screen and the superdrive. I went to the Apple Store to see the cost of repair; they said it would be $ 700 for the screen(didn’t even want to ask about the superdrive after that). I searched the net for cheaper repair alternatives, and someone suggested the Harlem Apple Store to me, so I looked them up too. I saw great reviews, so I went to Dave. He charged me $ 225 for the screen repair and $ 100 to replace the superdrive(no extra labor cost — awesome). What’s even better is that I got it back the next day, and it was a great repair. Long story short, if you want a good, low-cost and speedy repair, just go to Dave at the HAS.

David was great at getting me the software I needed and did it for half the price of Apple. He is my goto guy for everything I need for Apple. He answers all of my questions and offers the best price. I will be a client for life.

I guess it pays being a Unilocaler: after my review, I was contacted by the owner of the Harlem Apple Store. Twice. He was kind enough to issue, on July 30, a receipt for the job he performed on my computer on February 2. Let me restate this: a receipt was issued six months after the job was done, and only after my review appeared on Unilocal. The receipt came with a 3 month warranty, which is basically a joke: the warranty expired almost two months before the receipt was issued. I was willing to give this place one extra star, but I do not appreciate getting multiple aggressive emails, messages, and comments from the owner. Harassment and stalking are not cool.

David has worked on two of my machines. He is quick and extremely dedicated to providing good service. David is the only guy i let work on my Apple. We may at some point want to consider cloning him.

Best apple repair EVER! Fixed my computer for a fraction of any other estimate, and it is fully functional again. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

I’m reluctant to recommend David, beacuse if people know how good, fast and reasonable he is I probably won’t be able to get his time when I next need my Mac repaired. It’s kind of like a good little restaurant — you sorta want to keep it to yourself. But he deserves this. So I hope I don’t drop my Mac again. Thank you David for the one-day turnaround.

This man is a god! Forget«reasonable», his prices are absolute rock bottom! Best in the city by far(and trust me, did I shop around)!! Replaced my macbook’s dead hard drive, installed it and the OS for PENNIES in comparison, and did it in just about an hour! If I ever have another issue with my mac, this is where I’m going!

I’ve used David for mac repair over the last few months. He’s revived a dead powerbook, replaced a screen on an ibook, and replaced the hard drive on my black macbook. He’s fast, good, and very reasonably priced. I look forward to returning to him with my future macintosh repair needs! I happily recommend him to all my friends and family members.
