Handyman To Help You

Mike is a real gem. Not only is he the most talented handyman I’ve ever met, he is extremely fair (i.e. reasonably priced) and really cares about the well-​being and best interests of his clients (sometimes to his own detriment, as by saving his clients money, he probably lessens his own earnings). One thing I really like about Mike is that he tends to be available on short notice, which is invaluable for us.
And don’t let the term «handyman» fool you. While Mike can very ably install a tv mount, fix a toilet and do other everyday plumbing, etc., he is also more than capable of doing much more complicated electrical work, plumbing work, etc. It is actually a pleasure to watch Mike work, as he seems to genuinely enjoy his job. We are so happy we found Mike to service our building and we feel lucky to work with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike for any job, big or small.

Mike was fantastic and so helpful. He installed an a/​c unit in my window and was able to come at short notice. His rate was very fair and at no point did I feel like I was in danger of being ripped off. He was straight forward when I called and told me beforehand everything that we may or may not have to do, depending on the window etc. etc. It ended up being an easy installation and he was in and out quickly and the unit is perfect!
I will definitely be using him for other jobs soon!

He was SUCH an a**hole. He quoted me a price different than what was on here, so when I asked him about it (I’m a girl and am always weary about people taking advantage when it comes to things like plumbing etc.) he suddenly got very defensive, told me he wasn’t interested in the job, and stopped responding to my call or texts. He is rude and unprofessional. I would not trust him.

Mike is an AWESOME guy to call when you need ANYTHING done in your house. He’s done pretty much any job you can think of from simple to complex. He hung my ceiling fan back in the early summer in no time flat. Stayed in great communication and is SO friendly to boot. I’ll be using him as much as possible because i cant even hit a nail on the head… except finding Mike!

Though his hourly rate is decent — $ 35/​hour, he wanted us to pay his hourly rate for him to get to us by bicycle from his downtown location to the job site in the upper east side. A plumber who uses a bicycle to come to job site and charges client for it? No thank you.

Mike did a great job. He put up our blinds in about 90 minutes. It looked great, he was a super nice guy, and his price was very very fair!

I just had a minor electrical emergency while I was getting ready to go out tonight (it appeared that I broke a fuse, but flipping switches in my circuit box was not doing the trick). I found Mike’s number on google – and he literally walked me through the solution over the phone in two minutes. He was professional, friendly, fair and I would be happy to hire him for a real job given the opportunity. I promised him I would share his number with everyone I know, so here I am!
