If you go after work with a shirt and tie on, they will ask if you drive a cab or livery car. Say «Yes «and they will give you a pile of awesome grilled chicken thighs over rice and salad for $ 5. It is truly a remarkable meal. Chicken is charred to perfection.

Ahhh… my stomach growls and it’s too far to make my way up to 53^rd & 6^th 2am in the morning. Forget the trouble and walk your behind to 30^th and 5^th. These guys make a mean chicken & rice. Take away the white sauce & hot sauce from 53^rd & 6^th, you’re left with a pretty bland meal, no herbs & no spices. However these guys on 30^th and 5^th season their chicken with a whole lot of love, not to mention, all of the customers here are all taxi cab drivers.
So skip the lamb, get the chicken with rice with everything (they give you falafel, french fries, onions, and pickled jalapenos). You won’t go wrong with this 2am in the morning minus the cab ride back and forth from Kips Bay. Trust. =)

One of the best chicken + rice I ever tasted. Better than the one on 53^rd + 6^th. They season the chicken and everything about it is so delicious!

I try this food cart a few weeks ago… I got the chicken over rice… it was good
