RIPOFF! I made an appointment with Dr. Hirmand after watching Dr. Oz recommend her on his show for ultherapy. I called up and was told there was a $ 250 consultation fee and that I had to give her my credit card in advance. I was also asked how old I was and was asked to arrive early to fill out forms. Why I was asked to arrive early is beyond me as I HADTOWAITANHOURAND A HALF for the doctor. Just in case I wasn’t annoyed enough about the wait I was asked several times to fill out forms giving them my credit card signature for future visits — something that I never heard of before or since. I politely declined but was getting more and more annoyed as I waited to see the doctor. When I was finally brought into the doctor’s office another person came in to AGAIN ask me to sign an open credit card form for future visits — which I again refused to sign. After another 15 or 20 minutes the doctor finally came in and said sorry for the wait but she was the only doctor there and was busy .As I had made an appointment with her I can’t imagine how another doctor there would have changed the situation. It was not as if I was in an emergency room in a hospital. Apparently they have lots of staff to ask you repeatedly to sign open credit card forms but no one has time to call to tell their patient that they are running an hour and a half late! Dr. Hirmand spent about 5 minutes with me and then told me I was too old to have ultherapy(this is in spite of the fact that I told the office my age on the phone) I said that the pictures shown on Dr. Oz were of people as old as me and in some cases in worse shape. She told me that they only showed pictures of the best possible results and that it was not indicative of the real results and of course instead suggested a face lift(which I am sure costs many thousands of dollars) I am a business owner with a very busy job and was totally outraged that they wasted a hour and half of my time(plus an hour and a half of travel time) for a $ 250 five minute visit for a procedure that I apparently was too old to be eligible for. I realize that doctors feel they are more important then regular human beings but as far as I am concerned she owed me more then $ 250 for wasting my time. I can assure you that if I showed up for the appointment an hour and a half late I would have been charged the $ 250 on my credit card as a no show and no excuses would have been acceptable. As far as I am concerned it was one giant RIPOFF!
