I wanted to like this place but don’t think I’ll be going back. It is buffet style(hot and cold lunch), salad bar, and café. There’s a lot going on so you definitely need to know what you came in for. I got a mix of the hot buffet but with so many options you don’t know what to get! The masala vegetables I tried were pretty good but several raw, healthy verge options to top off my meal. I also picked up a sweet treat at the end by the counter. The banana bread was average– nothing great. The total for both of those ran me over $ 13. For an assortment of lunch food it’s slightly on the pricey side. Maybe this style of restaurant isn’t my thing since I can’t really put together what I want from a buffet if I’m paying by weight. Everything looked yummy– but I would suggest sticking to 1 or 2 dishes in the buffet line.

Bought an oat bar square(~$ 4), turkey wrap(~$ 7), and a drink which I fell in love with. The turkey wrap was delicious despite being prepackaged/cold. It had a hint of sweetness(from a fruit, maybe cranberries?) and crunchiness from the walnuts in it. The Oat bar was the bomb! There was a good amount of sweetness and extremely filling. It was like a meal which I didn’t expect at first because it seemed like a medium sized square! Don’t be fooled, it is quite heavy! The lychee drink I had was the most refreshing drink and so gooood! I’m searching everywhere for it now! I would take that over a smoothie any day! Awesome place~

Green Symphony… hmm…I like symphonies and the color green… let’s do this! And I have never looked back. Only looking forward to my next visit ZOOM. Likes: — Quality food for a reasonable price — Most of their«homemade» ingredients are organic — Tons of organic packaged food/snacks — LOVE their bars, muffins and toastsomes — An abundance of healthy options* — Vegan friendly — Not as guilty desserts** — Stellar workers*** Dislikes: — Generally, the hot/cold bar variety is the same or a variation of the same options — Tend to be heavy with the sauce/dressing for options at hot/cold bar *Too much of a good thing can and will affect your waistline, so be ready with stretch pants. *sttrreeettcch* **Not as guilty so two please. Does this make it guilty? ***The worker asked me what my favorite muffin is so he can make more for me. *heart* BUT I came in the following day and there were none… it’s ok, you’re still cool in my book.

I call this place the hidden gem in Hell’s Kitchen. Delicious fresh food. Huge selection of delicious and healthy eats, so many awesome drinks to choose from including freshly made smoothies, and interesting and tasty desserts and pastries. I recommend the curry chicken, soba noodles, & kale salad from the cold bar and all of the hot bar stuff changes everyday but most always yummy.

Once again, my preconceived notion for this vegan place did not match my experience. Decided to grab dinner here with my vegan friend right before seeing the Book of Mormon. The menu includes non-vegan items. Since we were in a rush, I didn’t end up ordering vegan food, mostly because I didn’t wanna think too hard about what would taste good. So I ordered a Bombay Wrap and picked up a few samosas from their hot buffet. The Bombay Wrap took a bit longer to come out than I had expected, but then, it was made to order. The ingredients were fresh and prepared well. Samosas were charged by weight, so they ended up being fairly expensive. The real downside to this shop is the inadequate seating. There really isn’t much of a dining area, you’re much better off doing take out. The overflowing trash bin was a bit of a turnoff too.

I was looking for a place that catered toward the rabbit food community & stumbled upon this place. The first time I ordered my food was kinda on the extra crispy, burnt, side. The time after that I received another crispy order. Now when I order from here I usually go inside & get the food in the«buffet style» area. Its hot, its fresh, & not burnt(:. I would give this place a 4⁄5 if this wasn’t reoccurring.

I am usually too lazy to write a Unilocal review, but this one is an exception. Dropped by this place as we were in a rush to catch a broadway show, and I wanted something quick, healthy, and close to the Theater District. Based on Unilocal reviews, I thought, why not! And lo and behold, when we arrived, the place was not packed in contrast to other places near Times Square which was a huge plus. The place is small, seemed clean and well-managed, and as I ordered, I glanced at the Buffet section and all entrees looked appetizing. They even had soba. They also had a wide array of vegan desserts, though the cookies seemed too hard for the touch(they were wrapped, I wanted to feel them). As for the food, I ordered a Heavenly Veggie Burger Wrap, while my companion ordered a Puebla-style chicken burrito wrap. The former was glorious, while the latter was geared towards the spicy side(apparently it was Mexican) and quite bland for my taste. It was VERY filling given the deceitful size, and we were full for hours. I think my companion is traumatized with my vegetarian shenanigans as I have taken him to places where the food was not so good, but I was pleasantly surprised when he liked the food here, and even ended up eating what I ordered. He actually LOVED it. It is rare to find an excellent, reasonably-priced vegetarian food. This has got to be my favorite vegetarian place by far. Highly recommend. CANNOTWAITTOGOBACK. Love this place!!!

While not my favorite place for BYO salad bowls(Maoz holds that spot in my heart), Green Symphony definitely beats out similar establishments like Chop’t or Fuel. My boyfriend and I decided to order delivery one evening since we were feeling a bit healthy. He got a standard Green Symphony salad(he lacks creativity) and I decided to create my own. Mixing and matching is the funnest part of eating healthy in my opinion. I decided to get something similar to a Chop’t salad I had a few days before, just to get a clear grasp on which establishment was better. I got a salad bowl with mixed greens, grilled chicken, chickpeas, egg, eggplant, mushrooms, and avocado. As well as a cucumber dressing. Portion-wise the bowl was about twice the size of the Chop’t salad I’d ordered. Green Symphony PACKED it with items. Considering it was less than $ 15 i was completely surprised by how much they’d put in. A very hearty amount of chicken and mushrooms. The dish was totally filling and all the items were fresh, I just didn’t think it was the tastiest salad I’ve ever had. It had a very«healthy» taste, which while okay every once in a while, I don’t think I could do day after day.

My go to spot for a healthy and modestly priced lunch in Midtown. Many options for those who’d like to maintain a healthy diet and would like vegan food. My personal favorites are their Fakin BLT and the vast selections available at their cold and hot food bar. Their smoothies and choice of beverages are also delicious.

If you’re ever craving healthy food in Times Square, this is your best bet. Although they have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options, they aren’t afraid of meat! They are also gluten free conscious, if that’s what you’re into. Such a small space packs a punch with homemade juices and smoothies, hot/cold prepared foods, healthy baked goods, chips, snacks, cookies, a salad bar and two, count ‘em, two full cases of juices and drinks ranging from Arizona iced tea to kombucha.

I went out of my way again this evening to get dinner and some treats to-go from Green Symphony. I’m always glad I make the effort to get over to their store when I’m in the city! The food I took off the hot/cold bar was delish as always, and then I tried a blueberry dessert and a lowfat apple spelt cake. They weren’t too sweet, full of fruit, and oh so yummy. =) =) The staff is always sooo nice and apreciative of my business as well. I look forward(as always!) to the next time I’m nearby so I can have their food again! =p

I love picking up some lunch at the buffet whenever I’m in the area. The food is always flavorful, filling, and healthy. In the small container, my lunch usually rings up to about ½ a pound, or $ 5 — such a great deal! I did order a wrap once and was disappointed in how small it was for the price($ 8), but the buffet is fantastic. Plus, the service is always so friendly! Why did I only recently discover Green Symphony, after living in NYC for almost six years and when I used to be around the Theatre District ALLTHETIME?! And now that I’m not near the Theatre District quite as often, I find myself going out of my way to come here for yummy food! Not everything here is vegan or even vegetarian(many chicken and tuna items offered), but there ARE many vegan and/or gluten-free items at the food bar, usually more so at the cold food bar than the hot. My personal favorites are the kale salad, the tofu and mushroom salad, the curry tofu salad, and my absolute favorite is the roasted corn — the last of which is often either not offered or out by the time I get there. But SOGOOD! Fresh and carefully created to bring out the best flavors. There are also a good number of vegan desserts, many of which are wheat-free but not necessarily gluten-free as they use spelt flour or «regular» oats(as opposed to gluten-free oats), but there are usually one or two items that ARE gluten-free. I got the BMW bar which has organic brown rice and pinto bean flour, walnut, apple sauce, fresh apple, cinnamon, sea salt, baking soda and raisins. Maybe a little too much walnut for my taste(I feel like most of my bar was made out of walnuts, just barely held together with the other ingredients), but tasty nonetheless. I’d love to see more vegan AND gluten-free items offered, but I’m usually pretty happy with what I get here. I will have to try the smoothies sometime — those also sound really good!

Located in the cesspool of Manhattan that is the juncture between Times Square and Penn Station, Green Symphony is a spot that I’ve been dying to try for awhile — after all, when you’re surrounded by Chili’s and tourists waddling around with their mouths agape and naked painted ladies, a small, health-conscious store sticks out like a sore thumb. The cold food/hot food bar looked a tad picked over, a good lesson to try to come before 6 unless you feel like eating only brown rice and the vegetable curry. Only one small sad piece of baked salmon remained. The guys working the counter managed to be very patient as I hemmed and hawed between the Dalai Lama and the Tofu Mania. The Dalai Lama was delicious, especially the dumplings, but pretty heavy on the brown rice. Not sure if the whole bowl was worth $ 10 without a shred of meat. I would have liked to see more of the advertised spinach in there to balance out the carbs. NEXTTIME: any one of the bars, hot food buffet, avocado and hummus pita wrap, oatmeal with jujube and honey, banana and dates smoothie.

It’s about time I write a review for my favorite healthy lunch spot in Midtown. I stumbled upon Green Symphony last spring and it was love at first sight/taste. Now, over a year later, I’m a faithful Unilocal user and must sing the praises of this diamond in the rough. …and when I say rough, I’m not exaggerating. This unassuming spot sits in the heart of Times Square, which I choose to call Hell on Earth(it’s 15 degrees hotter than the rest of the city and it houses the worst kind of people and worst kind of establishments… I rest my case). But the downsides to Green Symphony end there. This place is a perfect example of yet another overused idiom — good(GREAT) things come in small packages. Green Symphony is quite a tiny place, but the vast amount of health food options they offer is overwhelming in the best kind of way. What can you get here? Anything you could ever want. They have a well-stocked buffet that’s divided into a hot section and a cold section. As one would expect, the hot section is filled with different types of chicken preparations and other various meat dishes. On the cold side(the only one I can reliably speak to), you’ll find a nice variety of salads — a few tofu preparations(tofu curry w/chickpeas, Asian-style tofu w/mushrooms and peas), edamame salad, broccoli, quinoa, kale salad w/pumpkin seeds and flax seeds, etc. etc. That’s the side I’ve always opted for(see my picture for a visual). The food is flavorful, fresh and healthy. Has yet to disappoint. If the buffet doesn’t suit your needs on any particular day, they’ve got rice bowls, salads and plenty of other options. I can speak to the Kale Salad(kale, gluten-free tamari, sesame, oil, tomato, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, ginger) and the Chicken Vegetable Rice Bowl(vegetables and a mildly spicy sauce. Organic brown rice, free range chicken, spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, wild-root, shiitake mushrooms, chopped greens, kimchi and egg). Both are delicious and nutritious and bring a smile to my face. I think it’s because all of my vital organs are smiling themselves when I eat this healthfully — for with these meals, they can bask in the ecstasy of knowing that their keeper cares about their lifespan. More notes: –They have smoothies/shakes aplenty. I have yet to try one, but they seem to be quite the popular item here –It DOES get busy but the line moves quickly — so just be a bit patient. It’s not a big establishment, so it can seem more packed than it actually is -***PRICES! *** I am starring this because you’ve probably started to nod off from this novel I’ve been writing… some of the MOSTREASONABLYPRICEDHEALTHFOOD I’ve found in the city. Cheaper than Dig Inn. Cheaper than Sweetgreen. Cheaper than Fresh & Co. You get the point — this is, as the Cave of Wonders utters in Aladdin and as I have repeated here, a «Diamond. In. The. Rough.»

My first time here and I’ll definitely be coming back! I got an assortment of foods from the buffet and I couldn’t be happier. Everything tastes so delicious and fresh. Paid about $ 6 for my plate of food which is awesome for the city. Great little lunch spot. They have a large selection of smoothies and juices which I’ll have to try next time I’m here! Only bad thing is there is a $ 15 credit minimum so bring cash!

This place is delicious, affordable, and has prompt delivery. All the food is extremely healthy no matter what you choose. Favorite snack: blueberry acai bar SUPER dense — and with fresh blueberries on top, you know it’s going to get you through the afternoon. It’s made with all natural ingredients. Favorite smoothie: peaches & cream (so refreshing and tastes just like what you would expect) The smoothies are thick, unlike some places where it tastes like they watered down protein powder. For $ 5 and some change, it’s the most reasonably priced smoothie you’ll find in the city. Favorite wrap: Parisian wrap includes turkey, brie, honey mustard & granny smith apple. I have been searching for a good French style baguette sandwich, and this place nails it(sans the baguette). THECOBBSALAD– OHMYGOD(!??) This salad in incredible. The turkey bacon really gives it some substance without adding a lot of extra calories. Combine that with the feta cheese and creamy avocado and you have a killer salad. It pairs nicely with the honey mustard dressing. I usually eat the salad without any dressing because it’s THAT amazing. Do yourself a favor and try this place now.

It’s an small and cozy place near Times Square, just in front of the Hilton hotel, so expect there are some limousines or expensive cars opposite the restaurant. I just grab some hot food, and it looked very healthy, it was hard to choose but luckily you can take as much different food as you want, they will later weigh it and you’ll pay accordingly to the weight. There can also choose cold food if you want to, in the cooler, next to the beverages you can find some made wraps. There are a lot of different tea flavours to choose, in case you don’t want soda, water or juice. There are some seats inside, but not for more than ten people, and price/quality being near to Times Square is just unbeatable.

Im re-loving this place. Yes, they are a little expensive but the owner is so Nice when you come in and will talk your ear off about their products if you look confused or indecisive. His son helps out behind the counter and i just love how friendly they are. Yay small business. The hot/cold bar has lots of options including some vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes which is a rarity. They make everything in house other than the prepackaged items obviously. I love their juice/smoothie bar with several Broadway themed drinks — it might seem cheesy, But they aren’t just trying to speak to tourists with these names. Many Broadway stars love this place and come between shows or rehearsals. Most of the Broadway named drinks are because someone from that show created it. For their homemade baked goods, try the protein cookie, wheat free banana cake or no sugar added, wheat free peanut butter«cookie»(it looks more like a mound of oats & things but it’s so good). Also a guilty pleasure is the vegan blueberry cake. Favorite juices/smoothies are sweet greens, almond greens and spider man. Favorite cold/hot bar choices: turkey salad, turkey meatloaf, bean sprout salad, curry chicken salad, baked salmon and Hawaiian meatballs. Several grab and go options if you aren’t in the mood to wait. $ 15/min on credit cards but they have an atm inside.
