$ 8 for a grilled cheese that I wouldn’t even serve at my house. Made on small, poor quality bread with an extreme lack of anything other than cheese. Was supposed to have carmleized onion and pulled pork. Had 3 pieces of onion. One heaping tablespoon of pork. Fail.

I usually don’t write Unilocal reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for the horrible experience I had here. Visited this food truck at Pier 13 in Hoboken, and I ordered a pretty basic grilled cheese sandwich(American cheese, with turkey & caramelized onions). There wasn’t a long line(maybe 4 people ahead of me), and I kid you not, I waited over 30 minutes for my stupid sandwich. Two people who ordered after me received their orders before mine, which is when I finally spoke up. The man at the window grabbed my receipt and disappeared into the truck; after another 5 minutes, he finally gives me my order. However, he provided no apology for the painfully long wait, and was pretty rude– barely talked to me, just grunted. And they hide their napkins inside the truck, so you have to ask for napkins(what’s the point of having napkins if you hide them?!). Maybe I would have let this all go if the grilled cheese sandwich was actually good, but no; it was the most lackluster, dry, mediocre grilled cheese I ever had… Barely any cheese, and the cheese that was there was not very melted/gooey. To top it all off, it was my birthday(which the workers obviously didn’t know), which put a bad taste in my mouth(both literally and figuratively) the rest of the evening. Avoid this food truck at all costs!

Came here today on the recommendation of a coworker and got a buffalo chicken and mozzarella grilled cheese sandwich and tater tots. To round off my experience I also got the Mac and cheese bites. The food was delicious and the Mac and cheese bites were definitely worth the extra calories. The price was a little steep, but for a treat I thought is wasn’t too bad. Definitely recommend and will be back to try the other selections.

Anemic portion of dried out tater tots. Mediocre grilled cheese that took 10 minutes to wait for. Definite pass on the food truck line.

Every sandwich I’ve had so far has been delicious. Personal faves are the asiago with prosciutto and the brie with prosciutto and preserves. Not a big fan of the creamy tomato soup; it’s really, really heavy on the cream, and I usually prefer straight tomato soup. I wish they had a non-creamy option! I would also love to be able to get some kind of side salad. Don’t remember if I’ve tried the tots, but I know they’ve got those, too. Good, quick lunch option in Hudson Square.

Even though I’m a white bread 4lyfe kind of girl, I went with the American cheese on multigrain… Tasty! Also got the tomato soup which wasn’t bad, but could use a lil white pepper. Thanks for the water!
