Future Village Farm

These guys are really great! They really never close. They were open ²⁴⁄₇ during Sandy and even the recent blizzard that was busted.
Very neat and very orderly. Great selection of flowers. Really good fresh vegetables. Frozen food & Ice Cream. Good deli — great tuna fish salad, (been told). Massive candy selection.
The owners are really very nice to everyone. Maybe too nice, dog owners bring their giant beasts in too often. A few weeks ago an over-​confident narcissistic twenty something (that we have too many of in this neighborhood and on earth) and it’s girlfriend brought in a massive animal, like it must have weighted 100 pounds. I was really feeling revolted. And then the animal pissed a huge amount all over the store, like a small pond. It was so idiotic. So their «friendliness» to sicko animal owners is why they only get 4 stars.

If you live in the neighborhood, this is a great place for fairly fresh produce. There is a variety of fruits and veggies and basic grocery needs. Very convenient since it is open late and most items not overpriced.

Nicely arranged and clean.
Fresh produce that is kept cold and paid attention to.
Good spot to pick up miscellaneous asian ingredients (miso, kimchi, loose tofu, bean sprouts) if you don’t mid a lack of variety but don’t want to leave the neighborhood.
Didn’t look at the prices of most of the staples since I buy these outside the city, but the tofu and mint I bought were cheap and very fresh.
Cashier spoke little English but was very helpful and friendly.

Nicer than the icky Gristedes and less expensive than the Whole Foods wanna be Food Emporium. Other than that it’s just a little bodega.
