Reasonably priced and it was yummy! It was my first time trying it and I ordered delivery, didn’t take long to arrive and it was still warm when it got here. I got sweet potatoe tempura rolls and spinach rolls, both on brown rice, only complaint is that I wanted more! Hahah will get again!

3.5÷5 quality The place could’ve looked a lot prettier and nicer, but all I care about restaurants are the food and service. We were glad to find that this place had clear soup! We had lots of food that we couldn’t even move! Love the waitress as well.

Found a bug(a tiny roach) in my food. They were nice about replacing it but it is hard to recover from that. Plus because I ordered through Unilocal, they could NOT give me a discount for my order. They said to mention this the next time to get my 20% off. umm yes there won’t be a next time.

Atmosphere is not great for dinner, seemed more of a lunch spot, very bright lighting, quiet but not intimate, shrimp dumplings are not great, sushi was fine. Service was okay as well.

My girlfriend and I have been here several times for dinner and enjoy it. We stick to fairly mundane sushi rolls(tuna, salmon, California, yellowtail…) which are consistently good, as are the miso soup and several hot appetizers. I have gotten the Sweetheart Roll with tuna, spicy tuna, and a slightly sweet glaze, and recommend highly! We will certainly go back.

I went here with my family for dinner. It was a great dinner spot. The food was great. My sister and I had the vegetable entrees and really liked them. I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Good option for sushi-to-go!(From the looks of it, their service isn’t the best so maybe to-go is the best option lol). I got there just a few minutes after lunch hours but they were kind enough to give me the lunch special anyway. The maki lunch specials are a great deal — $ 13 for 3 rolls out of a super long list of rolls(including soft shell crab, shrimp tempura, etc). I got spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail — they were all pretty standard, good but not amazing. Definitely well-worth the price though!

This is my «go to» Sushi place in the neighborhood. It’s always good. I usually order one of the Sushi Lunch Combos, which are very reasonable at lunch(under $ 15.) or a Maki Combo. friends like the Bento Box which is huge and full of a variety of Japanese treats from Terriaki, a California Roll, Salad, Veggies, Rice, Soup, etc… The service is decent.(they don’t «engage» much but they get the job done — they all help each other.). It’s fast and affordable. ANd you can linger too, if you want to have a longer stay. They don’t push you out.

Meh. The host seemed surprised when we asked to be seated at the sushi bar. Four sushi chefs and not one spoke to us until we left. The best part of the meal was the dressing served with the husbands salad. The miso was average. The sushi is not so memorable. Not too fresh-tasting. The rice seemed undercooked. The sushi bar area was not all that clean. There were visible crumbs of previous meals present. The poor server had us and too many tables to do any of us any real justice. I didn’t bother to take any pictures.

This place is awesome and I would definitely recommend it! I work in the area and order from them all the time. The lunch special is well worth the money! Great food options, especially the bento boxes. If your in the area I would definitely stop in and check them out!

Came here after my train was stuck underground for an hour and I needed to get out to get some fresh air and food. I’ve been here before and it’s been pretty consistent every time I went. I wouldn’t say is the service is superb, but it’s standard service in my opinion. I usually get a few sashami and the beef fried yaki soba. I do however agree with some Unilocalers here that the music and the alcohol bar can use some improvements.

Good lunch specials. We got the salmon and chicken teriyaki bento boxes that came w ca roll, shumai, rice and soup. Each had a nicely portioned fish and chicken piece. Service was fine and rest is clean.

I actually stumbled upon this place looking for the Francois Payard Bakery due to our Über driver dropping us off at the wrong location and my friends were starving. We ventured here because the place looked clean and neat from the outside. When we go in, the server was extremely nice to us. We just got the house salad and 4 specialty rolls. It was supposed to be 4 rolls of the chefs choice, but we weren’t aware so we ended up choosing them ourselves. The waitress had the chef change to the rolls that we wanted; bonsai, sweetheart, crazy and sex on the beach. We also got 4 servings of uni sashimi. We thought it was 4 piece but in the end we eended up getting 4 of the 4 piece servings. Honestly, the rolls were nothing special as the rice was bland and a bit hard. I didn’t like the fact that the rolls weren’t really flavorful when it had the raw fish in them. The raw fish actually tasted very lacking and seemed like it was old. I don’t think I would order here again as my friends and I have been to other sushi places such as kotobuki which were amazing.

Horrible sushi. I love sushi and there are not many places that I can say served me bad sushi but now I can. It was pretty empty when I went in but I figured hey you cant go wrong by colombus circle(wrong) service was very good but fish was not so fresh and didnt taste good. Salmon avocado roll was bleh and they out too many seeds. Sashimi was not fresh and irft a huge part of my meal behind. Would not return

Came here Saturday night on a date and I was thrown off at first by the lack of people there, but that ended up being a high light for me. This was my first time at a Japanese restaurant and I enjoyed it. Service was great, I’m surprised by the comments on the lack of or bad service, they were incredibly attentive to us, kept coming by to ask us if we were ok. We had the coconut, mango tempura shrimp rolls which were awesome, so good. I ordered as my entrée the Salmon Steak; Grilled salmon with garlic teriyaki sauce, it was a huge portion and very good, I had it with the miso soup also really good. My date had the Double Fantasy; Lobster and steak in a wine sauce and he enjoyed that. We had the Mai Tai and they were ok, not the best but good. Overall, we had a good time and I would definitely be back.

So, as far as sushi goes, once you have eaten many kinds, you end up going for taste over prices. Thier prices are average, but thier fish is a solid choice always prepared well with good amount of food. They don’t skimp on the ingredients. Really clean and friendly environment. Not a 5 star only because they don’t have something really special that would make you choose to eat here, but you will leave satisfied and it is the best sushi near Columbus Circle.

I mean def come here if you love 90s music! Britney Spears has taken over the stereo. Been here twice since it’s close to home and my review is pretty consistent. The décor is awesome. Cute place. The staff is not friendly. The food is good. Does not exceed expectations. But better than a hole in the wall place! Decent prices.

2.5 stars This one was unfortunately one of places I just randomly walked in because I didn’t want to rely on Unilocal all the time and find my own gems instead. Well. I failed and I will leave it at that. I ordered a roll and tonkatsu. Both of them were mediocre at best. I was a bit surprised that tonkatsu looked ok but the flavor didn’t follow along. Serivice wAs mediocre at best too. Overall I would be ok just passing by this place. Sorry for the harsh review.

I went for lunch yesterday and was pleased to see that they have sushi roll combos even on the weekend. For $ 17 I had three different rolls(I went for the spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy california roll combo) and miso soup. Not a bad deal, if you ask me. The miso was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The sushi was extremely fresh and also quite tasty. The service was excellent. Located about a block from Central Park West and the Jazz at Lincoln Center, this place is a true gem. The bathroom was spotless as well as the rest of the establishment. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.
