Frank & Danny’s Pizzeria

I don’t know what happened to this place, especially over the past year. I never really liked their regular round pizza, but the L&B slice was their strong spot. I practically discovered the L&B slice thanks to them (back when they were Valducci’s). But the quality has slowly dropped. The cheese has no elasticity; the sauce has grown too sweet for my taste; and the crust becomes a soggy mess within minutes out of the oven, especially around the edges of each slice.
I was in denial for a while. I kept coming back to affirm that these flaws were consistent. If I had no recollection of what this place’s pizza once was, I would probably have given them one star.

Ordered a large pie. It was just ok. I’ve had better. The zeppoli were terrible. Tasted like oil. Not doughy, kind of cakey? Hard to describe the texture. Still looking for the type of zeppoli that we used to be able to get at johns pizza on arthur kill road back in the 80s/​90s.

We had the grandma pie delivered; DELICIOUS ! Arrived piping hot at the door and the pizza was so tasty. The heroes are also great. My husband and I enjoyed the chicken francaise and veal parmigiana heroes. Glad we found a new place to order from.

This place is fantastic! Great New York style pizza! The thin crust pies are fantastic. My absolute favorite is the chicken roll!

Frank and Danny’s is the spot to go to for great pizza and Hero’s on the island. I’ve tried a lot of pizzerias like villa monte and justininos to name a few and none compare. the owners and cooks were born and raised in Brooklyn so right off that bat you know they know good Italian food… when I go I get there chicken parmigiana hero with vodka sauce. its Redic… and there steak and cheese hero is real good aswell… not mention there speciality pies like chicken Marsala. grandma pie and buffalo chicken pie to name a few… The Service is excellent, when I go in I feel like I’m at home. and it’s also real clean which is important to me.
It’s a must try on the island!

Good pizza, good delivery!

We went there thinking we could have a sit down pizza dinner on friday 02-​27-​2015. We had received a menu flyer that said «eat in or take out,» so, we thought we would try the place. Once we walked in we knew this would be a bad experience. No one looked up from behind the counter and walking into what could be called the dinning area should have told us to leave then and there. The tables were all dirty and no one was about. We sat there for fifteen minutes and not a soul came by to take an order let alone acknowledge we were there. Needless to say we left. We have no idea what the food would be like as we never got to try any. Would we order take out from them? I think not, in our opinion this place is a good place to stay away from, it is not customer friendly. That’s just our opinion, you can make up your own mind.

I don’t know what has happened the past 3 or 4 times I’ve been here but the pizza has become mediocre. The crust has no flavor and the pizza together is just BLAH.
I guess I am not on the hunt for a great pizzeria in my area. :(

We order from here often… tonight we had the L&B Sicilian pie and it was fantastic… delivery is always fast and they are extremely courteous on the phone… try the fried calamari appetizer! Yum!

I have ordered from here 3 times and will not again. I hate to write this review but it’s just honest so here it goes.
First time I order pick up the pizza was very good, but I think I would have enjoyed anything at the time.
Second time me and my hubby ordered for delivery, we both had a very drunk NOM NOM feast. It was good.
The third time we ordered was for delivery at night. We ate and enjoyed the pizza and stuffed mushrooms. The problem began the next day. We saved half of the pizza for lunch the next day on our fishing trip. We drove out an hour to the fishing spot and then tried to eat lunch. When he picked up his first slice he found a HUGE LOCK OF HAIR under the cheese. We tripled checked to make sure and there’s no chance that we are mistaken, it was hair. The pizza was good and we didn’t want it to be hair but it was, therefore I’ll never eat here again. Check the pics to see for yourself… It’s the ones with the hair in them.
I’m giving this place 2 stars because the pizza is actually good, but I’m revolted by the standards.

I just ordered 2 hero sandwiches. Delivered. The chicken franchise was tender & delicious My wife had Veal cutlet parmigiana. Also tender & fresh. A nice sized sandwich as well.
We always enjoy the pizza here too. Try the Sicilian. Eat in or take out.

I don’t know why I waited so long to try this pizzeria, but after doing so I am definitely a fan. Good pizza is increasingly hard to come by on Staten Island, and good pizza with good service near impossible. Ive gotten so used to mediocre service I would’ve easily settled for «ok» pizza with good service, here you don’t have to compromise. Not only is the service excellent from everyone in the restaurant the pizza is outstanding! I’ve ordered from here three times since trying this pizza two weeks ago, and I usually would only order a pizza about once a month or so. This pizza hits the spot every time. This is arguably the best slice on Staten Island. The sauce is yummy, the crust is perfection and the cheese is perfect every time. It doesn’t get much better than this :)

Great pizza, almost as good as brooklyn! Wait times for delivery not bad. If u dont mind clogging ur arteries try the deep fried oreos…
