I was going to give 3 stars but I’ll give it 4 because I had a very good experience the first time I came here and the food was very good. The lady at the register is nice every time, as well as the older gentleman behind the counter. I have an issue with the younger guy that makes the sandwiches. He was rude, not making eye contact at all, seemed to be very impatient or bothered. I saw him throwing the chicken on top of the bread like he was angry or something. Very bad attitude and it threw me off. Cash only

Was in town for my daughter’s graduation with her masters degree and this bakery is close to her apartment. Went there a couple of times and on the way out of town. The whole staff /family were wonderful each time I went in. The baked goods are worth the trip there.

Love our local bakery/deli! Best bagels and the pastries are great too. Wide variety of sandwich choices. Quick service and delivery when you’re just not feeling up to walking around the corner.

They deliver in the area and their sandwiches are really good. This is definitely my go to when I cant leave work. Also great customer service from everyone that works there. Heads up it does get busy from time to time during lunch hours. Great gem.

Bagel with cream cheese and a scrambled egg. Breakfast is served! This place gets pretty busy in the morning, but I thought the staff was friendly and pretty good with taking orders. You just have to pay attention because if they ask you what you want from behind the counter and you don’t listen, they move on to the next order!

I’ve been going to this place for 2.5 years now, but today was my first time getting delivery. I ordered a panini, a wrap, and 2 bags of chips around 12:30pm on a Saturday. The food was at my door in NINEMINUTES!!! I live about .3 miles away from there, too! The food was fresh and delicious, per usual. Overall VERY impressed. Side note– the lady behind the counter is always super nice to me!

always enjoy getting a bagel here in the morning and oogling the pastries and desserts in the display case. service is quick, and the woman behind the cash register has never been rude to me(sad to see others have had a different experience).

I have no qualms with the quality of food or of the men behind the counter. They are great and the food is good. What brought my review WAY down was the lady at the cash register. I have been in this restaurant several times, and she is extremely rude to me. I am a friendly person, I say hello, and she will just stare at me. The first time I visited the deli, I asked if they took card(before I ordered, mind you, just to be sure). Without even looking at me, she just shook her head and walked off. Didn’t say a word. Every other time I have encountered her, she has been equally as rude. I would be here WAY more often if it wasn’t for this employee.

Their pastries are awesome, and they now make churros! No more hustling through port authority to get your churro fix.

I love how they can customize your sandwich either way you want it, and their food is fresh, the bread is fresh out the oven and the staff is very friendly.

All hail Santo del Sandwich. Dude making sandwiches is a miracle. He works hard all day and I love every sandwich I’ve gotten. God bless. Well-priced.

My top bagel in the city. The moist chewy inside and cracked and bubbled outside of their whole wheat bagel is heavenly. A more molasses-rich flavor than your typical NY bite. I always get my plain and fresh and top it at home, but imagine that a savory cream cheese would complement the flavor — no need to toast! Service was initially lax and occasionally aggressive. Now I get a quick pass-off and a smile; I don’t even have to give my order before the bagel’s in my hand. It’s a no-frills neighborhood joint with excellent food — worth becoming a regular.

Great food! This was a staple for me for heros. Great meat and cheese, good quality and selection. My problem? The service… it was like everyone who I ordered with had just a bad attitude… maybe they don’t get paid enough or something… who knows… but a smile goes a long way.

Great sandwiches. Try the Italian grinder! Wish they took card, though. The male owner(I think he’s the owner, anyhow) is very friendly. They always have beautiful pastries. Burritos are also very good.

YUCK! Let me repeat that again YUCK! I did not receive my order as asked… I don’t suggest doing delivery from the place! My address was completely mixed up after I repeated a 100x PS: The fresh squeezed Orange juice was the only good thing! Don’t recommend this place!

Incredibly bad service, but the cheese-danish was really good. I’ll update this review when I return, as I’m assuming the lady that assisted me was simply having a bad day. Also, make sure you don’t use the employee entrance — I may or may not have walked into the entrance behind the counter.

A must-have NYC egg & cheese breakfast sandy can be found under the maroon awning at 808 W. 181st St. Directly next door to Jin’s Superette and across the street from Starbucks. Don’t be confused, the name on the awning reads Fort Washington Bakery & Deli, this is in fact the 181st St. Bakery & Deli. Clean & welcoming. Delicious sandwiches of all kinds. Great rolls. This deli/bakery has it all. Egg & cheese on a roll with salt/pepper/ketchup is $ 3 and the coffee is $ 1. Typical NYC deli coffee, probably best with sugar & milk. Eat in, grab one of four stools at the window and watch the«gypsy cab» drivers hang out on the street. They laugh a lot… must be a good job. Made to order salads and all sorts of other goodies can be found here.
