Floris is truly a find! First of all he is a wonderful person so an absolute joy to interact with. As a teacher he is patient, considerate and very flexible. When he moved to Brooklyn I was on the lookout for a new teacher (for logistical reasons) but soon realized that he was one of the best out there so I went right back!

I always had a desire to play a musical instrument but never really pursued it seriously till I met Floris. We have been working together for more than a year now and I have been able to make the transition from an absolute beginner to be able to come up with my own tunes and also improvise! Not only is he an outstanding piano player, but has a deep understanding of music theory and a very friendly demeanor which makes working with him a real joy. He is equally at ease with many different genres be it pop, jazz or rock. He is a creative teacher and not someone who will just stick to the book.
I would highly recommend taking his lessons regardless of what level you are as a pianist. He will be your guide and show you the light on your musical journey!
