Very, very Happy with this place. I have been going for over 3 years and always get a great haircut. Romeo is the owner and I like that he is very detailed and listens to what you like, and dislike.
I moved to to the West side but still make a trip to get my haircut at his shop.
I highly recommend this place.

This is not your standard chop shop barbershop. Romeo is easily the best and most consistent barber I have ever been to. He takes his time, and actually doesn’t even use clippers on my haircut, other than shaping at the very end. He is truly skilled. In 6 years I have never had anyone else cut my hair, the thought wouldn’t cross my mind. Call ahead, make an appointment. Very fairly priced. Its 2014, you get what you pay for. If your looking for a $ 12 cut, this is not for you.

SCAM! I walked in for a quick shave, after I got my check which I thought was upside down but to my surprise $ 71 I asked R u serious & the guy said that’s the charge! All I can say is avoid this place like the plague! U should be ashamed of yourself!!!

Terrific haircuts, one customer at a time. Romeo will carefully cut your hair exactly the way you want it and even shave your neck at the end.
Closed Saturday, Open Sunday.
It’s important to call ahead. He’s busy and there’s only one of him.

I’ve been going to Romeo for almost 3 years now. They guy knows how to make a guy look dapper. Definitely the best barber I’ve went to, and he does the hot towel at the end.

It’s a 5 star haircut!
Romeo and his wife are really nice (thought they don’t speak much english). Its a quick haircut, he pays attention to detail and gets it right, and its not too expensive. The hot shave is also really relaxing.
update — changing to 4 stars. Despite being a regular, when Romeo asked me to pay $ 5 extra to rinse my hair after the cut to get the buzzed bits out since I had a date after, I decided I wouldn’t return. He said the water bill is high. Give me a break! No loyalty to the customer? And is a quick rinse when the shop is empty really that much to ask?

Haven’t written much reviews here, but I thought I should put in a comment about this nice place. Have been going to this barber shop for the past 3 – 4 times and I should say I have been impressed every time. Romeo, the person who runs the place, knows what he is doing and is generally very pleasant. The price is reasonable and he has done a very good job so far with my hair. No nonsense, affordable simple haircut.

The owner of this barber shop, Romeo, is truly a master. He’s not like many of these young «barbers» you find all over Manhattan…
I started going to him because of his close proximity to my apartment. To my surprise, he gave me the best haircut I have ever had, and I have gone to him ever since. He does things the old school way, including shaving my neck with a straight blade razor (after he asks for my permission, of course). Before starting, he always offers a cup of coffee and, after the haircut, he does a hot towel and vibrating neck massage thing. Highly recommended!

Well I don’t know about any drama but I just came back from getting a trim and got my beard shaped up. I took my 3 yr old son to get his haircut as well. It was a very easy and pleasant experience. They were very very nice to my son and very gentle when cutting his hair. His mother and I have been looking for a long time for a good and consistent barber for our sons hair and I think I finally found one. They did a great job on his hair and gave him two lollipos after.
As for me my haircut was ‘spot-​on’ and I was very very happy with it. It was clean and sharp. As for shaping up my beard it looks classy and I will look good at work in my suit come Monday.
Price was $ 17 for each haircut and $ 20 for the beard. So all together it was pricey… But WELL WORTH IT.

On my way to grab a Sunday morning bagel, I thought to myself, «I really need a haircut.» Lo and behold a ½ block later I stumble upon Five Stars with the barber (I think his name is Dino) standing outside. He seems friendly so I step in and get a haircut.
The haircut was perfect. No complaints… none. He used this vibrating contraption on my neck and afterwards I felt great. The service was affordable and the extra star was merited for being open on a Sunday. Also, the barber just happens to cut Scotty Pippen’s hair. So I was in good hands from the beginning.
