Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel

I stayed four wonderful nights at the The Fitzpatrick Manhattan. The location is perfect for shops and dining. No doubt the easiest check– in I’ve ever experienced the staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pub restaurant inside was tasty and open late. Quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Thanks again to the fantastic staff, I look forward to staying here again next time I am in NYC!

Superior location close to Central Park and fifth avenue. Rooms are great and the toiletries are the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The only down side is wifi is not free.

Staying here tonight – nice enough people, but ga’dam, you really gotta sneak charge a bonus $ 15 for some basic wifi!!! Place is dynamite, with a nice enough price tag – let’s not nickel and dime, boss.

Say no more! 5 star all the way! Super exceeded expectations! Kevin smith took excellent care of us. Thank you for the enjoyable stay.

My family and I stayed here last week and it was wonderful. The suite rooms are very comfortable and large for NYC! The staff were all warm and welcoming with good recommendations for dining out. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was good.
Excellent location, walking to Central Park, Museums, Rockefeller Center, major shopping nearby. Will definitely stay here again when visiting NYC.

Chose to stay for a night based on proximity to a restaurant with dinner reservations. Staff was friendly, and upon arrival we were upgraded for free from a king room to a suite. Hotel was clean, and reasonably priced based on the area.
One elevator was under maintenance and being worked on throughout the duration of the stay, but they made sure not to get in anyone’s way and ensured the other elevator remained working.

Although we live in New York,(Staten Island), we sometimes like to spend the weekend in the city. This time to see Sting off Broadway. We’ve stayed at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central several times but decided to try the Fitzpatrick Manhattan this time. When we arrived it was raining and as soon as my husband got out of the car, he was greeted by «Leo“who cheerfully offered to help with the bags etc. We saw Leo several times during the weekend and he was always so attentive and congenial. The young man that checked us in was also very pleasant and professional.
Our room on the third floor was clean and comfortable with a King-​size bed with room darkening drapes and a nice sized sitting room with Queen Anne style furnishings, T.V. and a small kitchenette — type enclosure with coffee maker and small refrigerator. Our windows looked out on the street and I didn’t personally find it too noisy .
There is a modern décor bar downstairs and a nicely decorated restaurant (The Fitz). We had breakfast and dinner while there and found the food and service very good. I have to admit, I think the Fitzpatrick Manhattan surpasses the Grand Central. The staff here from the housekeepers to the concierge were cordial and obliging.. plus this is a smaller hotel in midtown giving you quick access to the things NYC has to offer with some very nice people working to make your visit memorable. While in Ireland, my husband and I stayed at Powerscourt at the RitzCarlton for a week. If you want a luxe hotel, this place might not be right for you, but if your looking for a clean, cordial, accommodating hotel with a reasonable price, this hotel could foot the bill. :)

This hotel is amazing. Staff were prompt and polite, beds were comfortable, rooms were always sparkling clean, and they had cookies and hot chocolate out for the holiday season! Check-​in staff were absolutely fantastically nice, and we could not have been happier with our stay.

This hotel is perfect. Perfect location, friendly staff, beautiful and comfy rooms. I find every excuse I can to get to New York and I would definitely stay here again in the future. :)

I am a business traveler and loved three no four things about this hotel. In room safe, in room trouser presser, roomy comfortable bed AND professional, knowledgable (sic) service. Use of robe and umbrella. Quiet hotel for NYC, close enough to shopping etc but not in the heart of the madness that is Times Square. Plently of places to eat, shop (Bloomingdale’s anyone) or people watch. Have stayed at both the Grand Central and Manhattan and they have been consistently excellent. Not looking for anywhere else to stay!

4.25*** great shower very unique comes out of the ceiling. Fairly spacious for Nyc, friendly service that was very helpful. Windows actually open in hotel to get fresh air. Do not recommend hotel restaurant it is so-​so. And pretty centrally located. Might book again for next trip.

We stayed 3 nights in a 1 bedroom with pull out couch. I only saw the inside of a regular room very briefly, so my review really only covers the 1 bedroom.
We are a family of 4 with two young daughters so I booked directly with the hotel and requested a high floor to avoid noise, according to some other reviews I had read that could be an issue. The hotel said all the 1 bedrooms are in the back of the hotel so noise won’t be an issue, but they will request a high floor. We were placed on the 2^nd floor, just above the lobby, so booking direct and making the request didn’t get us anywhere. We could have saved 10% using an online booking service and gotten the same thing. That said, noise was definitely not an issue. On the downside, there was no view and very little natural light.
The room itself was very spacious, the main bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was huge and clean, we felt quite comfortable. The maid service came after we checked in late to see if we needed anything, help us set up the sofa bed, etc. They brought free bottled water and fresh towels every morning and night if we needed it. Really great service.
On the downside, the sofa bed was really only good for small children, I don’t think an adult would sleep comfortably on it for more than one night. The furniture, carpet and furnishings were pretty dated, kind of like an old European hotel feel, it was all comfortable and functional though. Biggest letdown for me was the kitchenette. There was only a mini fridge and a coffee maker, I was hoping for at least a hot plate and/​or a microwave or toaster oven. Overall no big deal, there are tons of breakfast and lunch cafes on every block around there. Most important thing was being able to easily keep drinks and some fruit cold for the kids, and that worked out fine.
Yes, they charge $ 15 a night for wifi, which is nuts, but our phones have data plans and they worked fine so we didn’t use the wifi. I would go back to this hotel without hesitation.

Really liked it here. Kind staff. Room service came to the door with free chocolates and glass bottles of water. Everything here is irish. Very decorative and festive. Only complaint was that the shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel disgusting. Lol. Bring your own! Nice places to eat all around as well.

i was really hesitant about booking a botique hotel but i was pleasantly surprised. The lobby set up is strange but they def make up for it with their great service. i was unhappy about my room and they actually upgraded me for free and gave us free drinks at the bar! would def stay @ fitzpatrick again.

Treated like royalty. They are very welcoming every time we enter. They go out of the way to make us happy.

What can I say, that hasn’t already been said about this unique, amazing hotel is near or a short subway ride to many things that make manhattan unique. My wife and I were staying for our anniversary, and when we mentioned it in passing, they upgraded our room to a suite! It was an amazingly spacious two rooms with a mini kitchen and fabulous view! They also sent up champaign with chocolate covered strawberry’s that we were too full to eat after our trip to nyy steak. This is a first class hotel, that we will stay at whenever we are in the city. Make your first choice, the best choice, stay at the fitz!

This is a neat place. It is actually a hotel based in Dublin that opened here apparently. We went there late one night just to get some Irish Tea and Irish cookies. It was a bit pricey but all very good. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Have never been to the actual hotel but the restaurant bar area is worth seeing. Good for hanging out with some friends and getting some tea.

I Stayed in this Hotel about 3 years ago over new years & have eaten in the restaurant many times. Its a great hotel for the price.
WHATS GREAT:
LOCATION– 2 blocks from Bloomies for shopping, central park is walking distance and trains for getting everywhere else are 2 blocks also.
ROOMS– Updated yet old– world elegance, you will forget there are busy streets below.
RESTAURANT– I find many New York hotel restaurants/​lobbys lack ambiance (unless they are über expensive), but the Fitzpatrick restaurant is more like an Elegant but casual Irish lounge bar– Its the perfect place to have:
*An Irish Breakfast (served all day!) before hitting the shops
* Being Irish, I love that they have HOT Irish Tea & Biscuits!
* A glass of Champers to take a break from sightseeing/​shopping
Whats So-​So
Its not a place I would go for dinner, the food, other than the homey Irish-​ness, isn’t up to the competition that New York’s restaurants offers

For a weeknight, we got a great rate!
We came into the city for a wine dinner, just around the corner from this hotel. Valet was NOT cheap ($ 60 a night) but then again, this is NYC. Attentive and friendly staff, and a great little bar off the lobby that we came back to after dinner.
Our room was BIG for NYC standards… largest room I’ve probably seen. King bed and tiny bathroom, but then a whole sitting room with a full size couch and a small wet bar off of that, plenty of room for our little party to spend some time cocktailing before dinner!
I would definitely stay here again, I love boutique hotels and this one really was fantastic.

Stayed here while I was in New York for an interview. Super nice hotel with the décor and stuff, and breakfast was included which is a nice tough. The «dark» curtains in the room didn’t close fully, which is a bummer because I like it super dark when I sleep. The room I stayed in had a king bed. Was fine for me, but I think if two people stayed it might feel a little cramped.
